It Could Happen
The United States has been split into three countries. The Conservative country focuses on strict religion and "family values." All people who sexually identify as other than straight are arrested and sent to camps.
One night an explosion of meteors falls in and around the camp causing complete chaos. Many of the inmates take the opportunity to escape.
A group of 3 friends decide to make their way together. The story tells of how they work together, interact with other characters, and deal with the extreme complications of an alien invasion. That was no ordinary meteor shower!
The books can be purchased separately, but they are not standalones. This bundle keeps the story flowing, and there are bonus scenes, too.
Kenneth Obi did an outstanding job of narrating the story. It was easy to follow the events and characters. He was a gifted storyteller.

Absolutely amazing!!
It took me awhile to finally dive into this gem, but it was SO WORTH THE WAIT! OMG, The world-building, character setup, arcs, backstory, everything is just - WOW! Nora is amazing at making her stories (even the paranormal or apocalyptic ones) so real, so plausible, and the characters/interactions so life-like, the reader is transported into an alternate reality where these things DO exist, ARE happening. The way these guys come together, survive, struggle, thrive, is epic, romantic, and inspiring. My only regrets - that I waited so long to listen, and that I can't personally thank the narrator for his excellent performance, I know how much he loved voicing Pax and his kind.
Ken did an amazing job, as always. It was bittersweet and heart-breaking all over, hearing his talents brought to Nora's beautiful love story, yet again.

Fantastic Dystopian Romance
This is a 3 book compendium, with a bonus novella. In an alternate United States which has been divided by civil war into three separate countries, we meet the three MC's in a "camp" for queer and trans individuals who were born with male parts. They escape the hellish camp thanks to what turns out to be an alien invasion. The books follow their journey, trials, and tribulations as they struggle to survive and escape the murderous aliens. Along the way, they fall in love and form an amazing bond and relationship.
With novels like this it is so easy for authors to make the whole situation unbelievable. Nora Phoenix has a talent for world-building, and this series is no exception. Now, I'm not an expert on surviving an apocalypse and alien invasion, so maybe she missed some stuff or got stuff wrong, but heck if I could tell if that were the case. She manages to detail how these men survived without making it boring. Yeah, maybe it's too coincidental that one of the three happens to be the son of a doomsday prepper, but the characters actually mention multiple times how lucky they were to have stumbled upon him.
And it's dystopian fiction. If aliens can invade with spider bots, one of our MC's can have extensive knowledge on living off the grid. Without him, they'd have died in the first two chapters, which would certainly not make for good reading/listening.
I read this series book series about a year ago and loved it. After a character takeover in the author's Facebook group, I got the hankering to read it again, but I have enough books to read. When I saw that the box set was available as a complete audio set, I was sold. I was nervous about it a little because the late Kenneth Obi is hit or miss for me, but he did a phenomenal job with this series. Much like I couldn't put the books down, I couldn't stop listening, even though I knew what was coming.
The series had just the right amount of angst for the type of books they are. The characters all have their own personalities and are really likeable. Especially Pax in his novella. He's so sweet you want to squeeze him. Or at least I did. I wanted to squeeze Mac too, actually. Lots of squishiness without being too much.

Fabulous series!!
This series is a little different from the author's other works, but it is so good!!! Tan, Austin, and Mack find themselves trying to navigate and survive an alien invasion. They have a few missteps along the way to forging their relationship which I feel makes the characters relatable. I really like seeing the various people they encounter along their journey. I also like that it's a little sci-fi but not completely out of the realm of possibility. Definitely recommend!

Very enjoyable
I started reading the first of this trilogy on Kindle not long after its release, but I decided that I'd rather wait until all 3 had been released because I hate cliff hangers. then when I heard it would be bundled into the whole trilogy plus bonus material and a novella at the end, I knew I had to wait for that and I'm glad I did. Mr. Obi did a great job with the narration, and I fell in love with all 3 characters though I did want to shake Tan a few times. If you like distopian fiction with aliens thrown in, then you might like this trilogy. The plot is straight forward with fairly sollid world building. It does not focus all that much on the politics of this world, but more on the 3 characters themselves who have escaped from a detainment camp for gay men. If you are a serious fan of this genre, then it might not be for you, but if you like a story with some suspense, adventure, and a slow burn romance, with alians and evil government forces thrown in, then give it a try. 4/5 stars.

A bit too mushy...

Started off well then fizzled out for me
I loved the first book and so took a chance on the whole series.
I enjoyed the dynamic between the three MCs and was engaged with the overall story in the first book but then it went downhill for me. Some of what was happening after the alien invasion was just so full of holes that the story for me just wasn't credible and there were so many things not right with settling in Australia that I just went on fast forward just to finish the series.
The romance side also became a little too sickly sweet for me.
The only good thing was Kenneth Obi's narration, there was never any doubt who was speaking and I particularly liked his interpretation of Mac.

Pleasantly surprised by this series.
I am in general not a huge fan of dystopian/ post apocalyptic romance books. This one was well done and takes you into the story easily. To my surprise I enjoyed this series very much. There is enough worldbuilding and I love the characters Nora created. As always the narration was so well done by mr. Obi. I recommend you give this series a try even if you normally not into this genre of books.

I’m in love with Pax!
As usual Nora’s story just grabs your heart! This takes place in a dystopic world and is about how to survive in a world that is falling apart. She still makes you believe that it is possible to find love during these circumstances, where people fight for food, water and shelter.
And Pax! The alien, refugee, deserter and the kindest you can imagine! Hearing Kenneth creat his voice is just amazing. He had so much fun doing it. He makes all the other characters come to life too! From the sassy but deeply hurt Tan to shy and calm Mack.

SciFi at its best with MMM!
Wow, listening to the Ignite Series Narrated by Kenneth Obi which was done beautifully.
Nora's is so talented, this SciFi story had the suspense building the whole time, the extra stories where you get to hear about what happened to the Aliens that rescuesd them and where they settled, which was just perfect. I bought this Series ages ago but have been too busy to read them. Finding them in Audio was great, I could listen and enjoy and Crochet.

Beautiful
*No marked down stars for this, but a general PSA first*
To all Americans. Don't try to do the Australian accent. It's truly horrific. Just try and do a London cockney accent. We'll get it.
Ta,

Review:
At 35 years old (gay, Australian from the bush) I've just finished my first gay fiction. This was amazing. So relatable.
Dystopian world with a very strong mix of our own reality in our times in the 2020s. Add the LGBTQ+ aspect = amazing! Narrator was great (despite the above comment)

Epic Apocalyptic MMM slow-burn
These 3 books plus extra novella have it all: Adventure, Action, Character Development & Diversity, Fantastic Plots & Ploys, Friendship, Love & Lovemaking, Strategy, Survival, Threesomes, World-building ...and Zagorians. I could hardly put it down through the 24h listen - it never got dull or tiring. The writing is unfurling one's imagination and is well paced and flows to follow along each scene easily in this rather complex story while the characters unfold slowly along the ride. The narrator gives the main characters distinct voices that fit them very well in my opinion. The narration was awesome and drew me into the story.
If you're a Fantasy-/ Sci-fi/- Dystopian-Romance fan this book is absolutely worth its money/ credit.
