Constant Fat Shaming

Fat Shaming: A common theme in Lisa Jewell novels. Great story otherwise, but this’ll be the last book of her’s that I buy.

Enjoyed, but....

I truly enjoyed the book, but the one part of the ending...what was in the packets Rory found? It never came back to that. I was thinking it would tell us something more.

I loved this. So sad in places and so happy in others and you can't help but feel so desperately sorry for this family. Highly recommend.

There's no mystery

It's a well told layered story. But it's not a mystery or suspenseful or any type of thriller. It's a story about a family dealing with stuff

Dark, but good, and narration is amazing.

This story was a little dark and just a touch slow. I found myself needing to take breaks because it seemed nothing good ever happened for any of the characters. But the narration was amazing and I enjoyed listening to it.
