Excellent book, excellent story. I’m going to look for more of Ms. Douglas’s books! Minimal use of foul language, which was a relief.

The Wrong Sister by Claire Douglas

This is a story about two sisters and their husbands
and is filled with plenty of suspense. It’s well written and very enthralling and keeps the listener on the edge of your seat, The story starts with a working class couple, Tasha and her husband taking a romantic holiday trip to Italy. Tasha’s sister, Alice and her husband are swapping homes for a weekend so Tasha and her husband can get a little time together away from their twin daughters. This book is full of family secrets, mystery, violence, mistaken identities, lies, deaths and how perfect lives often have dark secrets hidden from view. I loved every bit of it until the ending. The ending was extremely lacking, especially in comparison to the rest of the writing of this book. I still recommend it but just feel like the story wasn’t finished.

Suspenseful, intriguing

In a way, it’s a look at the complexities of being a woman- a mom, a sister, a wife, a woman with talent and ambition. Compelling characters and a story without multitudes of unnecessary characters or details. Narration is absolutely superb- the best I’ve ever heard after more than 250 reads on Audible. Very well done, it won’t disappoint.

Not for moms who have experienced a Vanishing Twin pregnancy

One of my twins vanished at 10-12 weeks. All the "I ate my twin" comments in the novel made me feel gross. Using this as a plot point was creative but tacky. Still going to listen to other books by this author, though. ;)
