Didn’t love this

I didn’t love this. There were so many characters and many felt unnecessary. And when the narrator doesn’t change her voice it’s hard to differentiate who’s saying what. This book felt long and draggy with whole chunks that could have been cut out. I’m left wondering why they were even included. Add to that that I felt it was predictable and again, it wasn’t a love for me. I finished it, but I was ready to be done.

Maxwell House

This book should have been titled Maxwell House because it was GOOD TO THE LAST DROP! Woah! Every time I thought I had it all figured out, I didn't! It was my favorite Jewell book yet!

Compelling and Chilling!

This is Jewell doing what she does best! She leads you through twists and turns of human frailties, turning your perceptions on end. Then, she gives you an unexpected ending that leaves you both satisfied and wishing for more. She has characters who break your heart, and those who you wish you could like. I've been disappointed recently by some of her books, but this one is of the quality what makes them worthwhile. Nicely done!

pretty ok

There was way too much time spent on the Jenna, Bess, Tom angle and then nothing ever came of it. For how much time is spent on that it wasn't even really relevant to the plot

Read this one! I could not put it down! Very well written and a satisfying end.
