Chilling and engaging!

Wow. This was awesome. This is my first time reading Lisa Jewell and I can’t wait to read more! She had me totally hooked and had a lovely balance of suspense, humor, and deep character development. I couldn’t wait to pick it up and listen- especially towards the end! Definitely an engaging read and one that left me with chills. Look forward to reading more Jewell in the future.

Good book, not great.

This is definitely one of the better books I’ve listened to in a while. I really enjoy Lisa Jewell as an author and while I preferred her book “Then She Was Gone” (absolute page turner!!), this one was good as well. What threw me off about this book is that the premise is someone is murdered so for quiet a while I kept waiting for the murder to happen and getting annoyed when it didn’t. Spoiler Alert!! You don’t find out until the end who is murdered so stop waiting!! If I had realized that sooner I think I would have enjoyed the book much more earlier on. As is the beginning went painfully slow for me, but picked up and got quite interesting. Definitely time well spent!

Watching You

Well fo me it was confusing all the way to the middle of the book, story is okay, overall I would say if you cannot find anything else than read it. Nothing like Than she was gone which is an excellent book.

Not as good as Then She Was Gone

The story was too slow. I wouldn’t recommend this book. I loved Then She Was Gone and was eager to read more by Lisa Jewell. The ending was easily guessed.

Great Ending

Getting into the book initially was hard to do with all the swapping of character point of view. It all started to really flow about mid-way through. Thane I was hooked!
