Publisher's summary

Vice Admiral Nebs and his Archangels are coming for the Last Reaper, and they’re out for blood.

Halek Cain and his crew jump into one slip tunnel after another to escape a psychopath with an armada of deadly warships. Every system is a trap; every encounter a potential battle.

When Cain and his friends receive a distress call from the Bold Freedom, innocent lives will hang on their every decision. And Cain still has debts that need to be paid. People who helped him off the exploding prison station are going to die horribly if he doesn’t pull of the impossible.

But they don’t call him the Last Reaper for nothing.

New narrator and a new feel

I posted a review after a few chapters of this and after completing this audiobook am updating my review. I must admit I miss the old narrator and my advice is to not listen to this too quickly after the previous book in the series it may really throw you off at first. The new narrator grew on me. I was abit confused at first because characters that sounded older now sounded younger and lost their accent. But if you come into this book with an open mind and liked the previous books you'll enjoy this one. I am still curious at what caused the change in narrator but probably won't get that question answered.

One Ship, Two Ships, and one MASSIVE ship

Wings of the Reaper when I read it was my favorite because of the first contact with more humans beyond Union and Sarkonian Space. The new Narrator read Galactic Law so I keep hearing Deputy Walker since Ray Porter was Halek Cain, might take time to get use to the change but did a great job overall!

Changing the narrator ruins the story telling

The flavor of the story is lost with the new narrator Tom Taylorson. Ray Porter did a far better job. Unless Tom's style grows on me, I doubt I will purchase the future audible titles.

Not a fan of losing Porter but great Story overall

Taylorson has some HUGE shoes to fill replacing Porter. I'm a huge Porter fan so its a hard pill to swallow. Nevertheless, the story is still awesome. Takes some use to getting uses to the new voices in my head but Taylorson does a good job here. Don't let the narrator swap dissuade you from this awesome story.

New narrator did well

Took me a little bit to grow accustomed to him, but it turns out his style is well suited for the Reaper.
Ray Porter remains my favorite "voice actor," and I'll miss him on this series.

Great narrator change

It is always disturbing when the narrator changes between books in a series. Especially when Ray Porter was narrating the first books. BUT I must give massive cudos to Tom Taylorson. He pulled off the most stupendous feat ever imaginable in book performance. After the first hour or so I was totally immersed back into the story with his great voices and performances to the point that I could not go back and start the series again without missing him. My only comment was that 2 of these books could be added together to make 1. I know it is a money making thing but when you take a 6-7 hr book that only gets through half of the story it seems like it should have been 15hrs. The series is good and a little different than others.

Nice series

Overuse of the word “said”. Author needs to revise his style of writing for a better flow of the book.

good but not quite the same

good story and good characters. but changing the narrator in the middle of the series was a little off-putting. new narrator does a good job and have no complaints with him. it's just with the new narrator you have to get reacquainted with the cast of the story

Don’t change Narrators

The new narrator did a great job but it takes some getting use to when you are already set on how the characters sound and then switching messes all that up.
