Publisher's summary

Max finds himself in a time loop.

Any kind of death annuls everything except his present knowledge and returns him to the past. This is a good way to test all sorts of things. That is, it would be, if not for one little thing.... This loop has real lords and it's unlikely that they'll be happy to hear about an uninvited guest.

And that isn't his only problem - all of his memories of the last year have simply disappeared, but the world around him has changed in the meantime. Earth has been seized by the Velly clan and is now part of their Star Empire. Max has also discovered his gift. He's a psychic.

However, his power isn't that big of a deal.

Everyone can be a level one "battery". To do anything else, however, you need to have some talent, money, and connections, which only complicates things further.

A whole new world, great opportunities, and lots of chances to get into trouble.... Welcome to the Last Time Loop!

started pretty strong

I wouldnt say this is not usuall time travel concept, more like restarting one week again and again. Idea was grat, but it somehow got pretty "stalle" by the end of the first book, and I cant say that I would buy the next one, becose by the end of first one where we clearly see that the story wount end I wasnt even upset that for full story You need to buy another book. for me this story is finnished, becose I am pretty ok not knowing what happens in the next one, becose I fell like it will be the same thing allover again for 10 hours, till hero somehow wins...

Cover

Spoiler warning I still enjoyed the book but come on half the stuff on the cover isn’t even mentioned, I’m almost finished and he hasn’t even considered joining the rebellion, the blue girl on the cover hasn’t been seen, and there is very little lit rpg elements

Not Great

The book started off with a great premise. Aliens have conquered Earth and introduced new technology that allows them to drain humans like batteries. However they have taken a more humane and corporate approach to doing this. Instead the Aliens are cohabiting with humans on earth and allowing them to continue on with their day to day lives. The big difference is that most jobs are now centered around humans clocking in to their office jobs and being drained of energy from 9 to 5. In exchange humans have new technology and have the chance to learn to enhance their energy (psionic) powers.
However, the author chose to move the story in a direction that I wasn't a big fan of. To be blunt, this is not a" litrpg/cultivation action-packed novel" like the front cover promised. The only litrpg/cultivation element in this book is the characters ability to increase his energy level. This happens in an excruciatingly slow process. Essentially the character goes through repetitive motions of clocking in to work, recharging generators and the occasional tussle with street bandits. All of this increases his level by 1-2% a day. What's worse is that their isnt any training montage or fast forward in the story. I am currently close to halfway (5hrs) into this book and the character hasn't even increased a single level. Instead it seem that author has relegated the litrpg/cultivation elements and action scenes as secondary to the MC's detective skills. The book reads like a bad detective story. The MC has amnesia and spends most of his time going through the motions of everyday life while trying to figure out what he did all of last year. I was pretty disappointed in this book.

was the editor high?

This is so disjointed it’s like the whole damn story is nothing but bullet points take this for example the main character is kidnapping they steal what ever passes for power in this world and let him go and it over just that fast that kinda big deal but there’s nothing in between them that

Needs a rewrite

Good premise, horrible execution. The narration was fine but nothing special. Needs to be rewritten with better flow.
