Dragon Award Finalist Rick Partlow's Earth at War series is military sci-fi at its finest. Get Books 1-3 in this bundle, packed with nonstop action and seasoned with grade-A military humor. Jump into the story today!

I retired from the USMC, and now I write about space marines.

I never thought I’d actually become one.

As a sci-fi author with a hit TV show, I have a few ideas about what alien invaders are supposed to look like. In my stories, they’re technologically advanced monsters, with tentacles, and no faces.

Turns out I was right about the technology.

And about how angry they’d be.

But the way they look…that’s more terrifying than even I could have imagined.

They look exactly like us.

Because they are us.

Military Sci-Fi

I found this story to be entertaining and easy to follow. Not a hard sci-fi which was nice and pacing was quick.

These three books were awesome. Great action and love where the series is headed. Highly recommend.

A Space Journey With ‘The Feels’

I am probably harder on authors/narrators than I should be. If the story and/or the voice doesn’t keep me in…I’m out quick, fast, and in a hurry. This box set is NOT one I’ve fled from! The storylines are very entertaining (at times very touching), the humor wasn’t corny or crickets inducing, and the narration is extremely well done! I look forward to not only the next entries in this series, but listening to ALL of them over and over again!!

Fun and light.

I just finished book 1 of the set. As I continue with the series I wanted to drop a quick review.

This is a fun read and a fun story. There is enough interesting pieces to keep me interested. The protagonist is not a thrice decorated hero without any flaws. The aliens allies are not all powerful and may be divided. Heroes do not go through ordeals unscathed.

Looking forward to the other two books in this set.

Decent action book set in space

Fun, will keep you on your toes, decent writing.

However, it does lose two stars for some blatant xenophobic (towards humans, not towards aliens) commentary including blaming COVID as being an intentional attack by the Chinese government.

Space opera? Or space top 40?

Our protagonist is blessed with an irrepressible joi de vivre and enthusiasm for new frontiers, carrying him through tragedies that lend ballast to the otherwise lighthearted story. Quick paced and well read, the narrator giving delightful nuance.

A twist to first contact

The narrator really did the series justice, listened straight through because I just had to know what happened next. Most definitely worth a listen.
