sit back and think about how you deal with things
The whole thing is about handling tough stuff like PTSD, BPD, and emotional eating, and it’s got a ton of exercises and advice that make you sit back and think about how you deal with things. The narrator's voice is really clear and calm, so even when the content is a bit heavy, it’s easy to stay tuned in.
The best part? It feels super friendly and down-to-earth, like it’s not lecturing you. I really liked the mix of real-life stories and practical advice—it’s not just theory; there’s actual stuff to try out.
On the downside, it’s a lot to take in all at once. If you’re not dealing with all three issues, some sections might feel a bit less relevant, so I found myself zoning out a few times. But overall, if you’re willing to give it a listen and actually try some of the exercises, it’s got some great takeaways for better handling emotions. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking to level up your mental game!

Accessible, Applicable, and Wonderful
As an MSW student and a friend and family member of many people with PTSD and/or emotional eating, I found Huang's work incredibly useful personally and professionally. Huang explains everything succinctly with many examples and anecdotes to make it both relatable and very easy to understand. The workbook helps connect the exercises described to reality and I find them to be useful as general life strategies regardless of diagnosis. They truly are mental wellness skills that apply (and are accessible) to all, especially because there are so many different strategies and ideas shared. Everyone will find something that is effective and helps them cope with challenges. I highly-recommend Huang's work!

Worthwhile collection
I had already listened to the BPD and Emotional Eating books so the addition for me was the PTSD book. As with his other books the collection has a number of exercises and questions that really make you think about resilience and mental health in different ways. Further, the book delivers on kindness and compassion...so even if you are a person that doesn't directly identify with PTSD, BPD or emotional eating I would highly recommend the read.
Huang's DBT Workbook for BPD is a comprehensive and compassionate resource offering practical tools for individuals dealing with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Focused on self-compassion and empathy, it provides a supportive space for exploring personal challenges. The incorporation of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills makes it invaluable for personal growth, relationship enhancement, and overall well-being. Whether directly affected by BPD or seeking understanding, this audiobook, delivered with high-quality narration, is a must-listen for cultivating resilience and transforming mental health.
DBT Workbook for Emotional Eating sheds light on the complexities of emotional eating, stress, and binge eating, offering practical solutions for breaking these patterns. Packed with worksheets, tools, and self-reflection questions, it helps readers develop healthy habits and change coping mechanisms. Emphasizing the importance of handling setbacks and celebrating progress with non-food-related rewards, it provides invaluable guidance for sustainable change. The self-assessment quiz helps determine if eating is in response to hunger or emotions, adding self-awareness.
Understanding the root cause of eating behaviors is crucial for lasting change, and this book provides the necessary insights and tools. With high-quality narration, this audiobook is an engaging and valuable resource for overcoming emotional eating. Highly recommended!

As someone who has struggled with various mental health challenges, I found this comprehensive guide to be an invaluable resource.
From the moment I started listening, I was captivated by Huang's empathetic and insightful narration. The three-book collection covers an impressive range of topics, including borderline personality disorder, PTSD, and emotional eating. Each section is thoughtfully crafted with practical exercises, worksheets, and personal stories that make the material not only accessible but also deeply relatable.

mental health
I always suspect I had some of this issue but this book helped me confirm that I did have it in the past. I am glad I no longer have it or it is a lot less where I am no longer worried about it.
