Informative with a lot of #FLUFF

Over all, the content was good. But I felt as though the author put a lot of fluff with constant use of “shout out to”, “with that said”, and hashtags. This seemingly intelligent woman dumbed it up with the overuse of hashtags.

Fasting made Simple

This book is an accumulation of information on how to reach weight and health Goals, I have read many books on fasting and loved how complete this book is. She prepares you for different escenarios sharing her tips and giving you mental clarity on how to deal with fasting in the real world.

After this book I am committing to a Paleo Way of eating, I will definitely try some or all of the recipes provided with the PDF.

Decent

I do not like writing anything negative in book reviews because anyone who writes a book, is a hero in my eyes, butttttt...it was really difficult to get through phrases like, #allthethings over and over and over and over again without wanting to scream. I appreciated Melanie’s knowledge and research on the biology of food and wine and the body. So much of it, I’ve already heard, but I do a lot of my own research. I also admired Melanie’s ability to be honest about things like body image and fad diets. No one wants to admit stuff like that and it was refreshing to hear, as so many of us go through it but don’t talk about it. What I gained the most, was confidence in my decision to drink wine. I’ve always felt like it’s added positively to my life, but I’ve also constantly felt guilty about it. I’ve searched for studies without finding the information she gave in the book. So thank you very much for that Melanie! For all of it, really...but next time you write, you might want to leave out the hashtags. I’m sure you’ll still be funny without it.

Can’t wait to listen again

This was a very engaging audiobook with 3 subjects I’m very interested in. The Paleo lifestyle portion was quite helpful. I was a little distracted for parts of it which is why I need to listen again. I’m already on board with IF for the past 6 months and currently have had to eliminate alcohol but look forward to the day I can reintroduce wine back into my diet. Great tips on everything.

Very good research, great writing and great narration. I could almost hear Melanie herself.

Easy to understand backed with solid science

Melanie Avalon does a fantastic job with getting to the grit of what's important to wellness and healthy living. She thoroughly breaks down all aspects of the Paleo/Whole foods, IF, and researched benefits of wine in an easy to understand manner. What more, the book doesn't suggest all aspects are an all or nothing gig. In fact, major themes of this text can be taken in parts or as a whole when addressing your specific needs and goals. Thank you Melanie for taking the time to do this research and sharing with those itching to learn.

Informative

Very informative and thorough explanations however I need to listen again so I can count how many times I heard “that being said”. Don’t mean to be picky but it was sort of annoying.

This book is so easy to listen to. With all the books and talk shows on weight You don’t know which one or what style to try . Melanie explains what All the different a and how they work. Calories verses carbs. Different fats What they do. I’ve been following a intermittent fasting and also listen to her podcast. I highly recommend reading or listening. I’ve heard there wonderful recipes I’m almost there. Thanks for the wonderful book and all the information you study and share..

better than I thought, not all about wine

I really liked it. there was literally only 1 thing I didn't enjoy in the book and I'll keep it to myself, because it's more opinion based than anything and I don't want it to take away from other listeners and readers

Great info on paleo and Intermittent fasting

I’ve listened to 20+ books this year on intermittent fasting, paleo and keto and this book was one that I listened to twice because it has great info and very easy to listen to and relate to. Highly recommend it!
