Totally swoon-worthy story

Single dad, check! Amazing littler girls that burrow into your heart, check! Main female character that does everything to her loved ones safe, check! Yes this book has a lot going on in the details but the romance story here was so swoon-worthy. I love the protectiveness from both main characters. Having the chance to listen to this story through the voices of Blake Lockheart and Samantha Brentmoor was truly fantastic. They both brought the story to life.

Oh, how I love a single dad...

When Crew Madden brings his daughters to Redemption Falls, where he used to spend his summer in his uncle's house, he's hoping for some good memories and for some respite. Maybe a summer in the small town, playing by the pool, can lighten up the twins' lives. After all, they've been through being basically abandoned by their mother and almost losing their dad in a shootout. He'll spend the summer there, give them a fun time and getting his head back in the game so that he can return to his job as a cop in Chicago. 

Crew knew he'd have a tenant in the adjacent cottage, but he wasn't expecting Tenny. 

Tennyson West moved to Redemption Falls to hide - from the person she used to be, the man she used to love, the world she used to know. A dangerous world. She was happy in her little cottage, doing her work editing romance books. Now she has to deal with the new resident of the new house as he's the one supposed to fix stuff at the cottage while he's there.  Meeting him and the twins, her life no longer feels empty, but she knows that everyone that gets in contact with her might be in grave danger. Will her past come back to endanger her and these new people she's come to love?

I really enjoyed this one! I love romantic suspense and this one is deliciously heavy on the romance part. Single dad romances are my catnip and Crew Madden is one for the books. There's just a tad of suspense involving Tenny's past - enough to move the story without turning it into a thriller. I loved how they fell in love and how the twins were invested in their romance. 

Another win for K. Bromberg! I can't wait to see who's coming to Redemption Falls next!

Narration: I'm a bona fide card-carrying fan of Samantha Brentmoor and I jumped at the chance to listen to this one. She's phenomenal as usual. Blake Lockheart is a new narrator to me but he was perfect as Crew - a little tortured, a lot swoony. I'll definitely look for more of his work.

Healing and safe

I definitely don’t read this author enough!

Both have a troubled past and are in Redemption Falls to recover.

She’s hiding from a past life and trusts no one. He’s tried to heal from an injury in the line of duty and a tough divorce while raising twin tween daughters.

The connection between Teny and Crew, Paige and Addie was almost instant. She’s got so many secrets and he can see they are there. Will she share? Can she trust him? Will he return to the city at summers end? Will he return to the force?

The TLC is everywhere. She loves his girls and he’s sn amazing girl-dad. She loves him and shows him in so many ways, but the moment he utters those three words, she throws the wall up. She has to protect them.

The constant looking over her shoulder, fear at every turn is exhausting. And doesn’t she deserve a life? Some happiness? He’s willing to wait, but for how long.

I kept waiting for the proverbial shoe to drop but I did not anticipate what happened. Tragic! Shocking!

He knows she’ll come back. He believes it but he’s put his heart on the line, those of his daughters. Can she trust in him, in them?

A beautiful love story, healing and safe.

Small Town Single Parent Romance

Until You by K. Bromberg is a small-town single parent romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Blake Lockheart and Samantha Brentmoor. This is the first book in The Redemption series.

This is the first book of Kristy's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I was pulled in from the very beginning and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Crew and Tennyson. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Blake and Samantha did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like small town romances, single parent romances, friends to lover's romances, or forced proximity romances.

Sweet!

Until You has all of the elements of a love story with some flashbacks, angst, and just enough intrigue. The performers were good and I enjoyed the listen.

This was a very good book. The story line was good as well as the narration.
Would have given it 10 stars if I could.

fantastic story!!

Wow, I absolutely loved this book and listening to the audio version was perfect.

Crew takes his twin daughters to Redemption Falls to recover after multiple things that happened to them over the last 18 months... his wife leaving him and the girls and him nearly dying from a gunshot wound. They go to his uncles house to do some repairs before he sells it, and he meets his new tenant that lives in the cottage on the property. Tensley is hiding out... she didn't know she'd been married to a drug lord until one night but was able to get away and fake her death. Now she's doing her best to stay hidden from her husband. Of course, no one there knows her secret. But the chemistry between Tensley and Crew is undeniable.

The story played out as I had figured and feared.... but wow was it amazing!
The narrators did an amazing job on bringing the story to life, and I loved it wholeheartedly. Definitely one I'd recommend listening to!
