As always Ray Porter killed it…

The story was intriguing, but the plot seemed rushed. Ray Porter is a modern-day “Scott Brick.” He did a fantastic job. Not to say Scott Brick is anything but amazing. Overall, the book was worth the price of admission.

Top Gun meets Hunt for Red October

Great thriller action. Any book that Ray Porter narrates is automatically excellent and enjoyable to listen to.

Solid Debut Thriller

I picked this up after seeing the recommendations from Carr & Greaney, and this did not disappoint. A fast paced intense thriller that I couldn’t stop listening to. A lot of credit goes to the Legend, Ray Porter. No one brings the intensity like Ray Porter. Highly recommend.

If the first is this good….

If the first battle born book is this good, I cannot imagine what the next ones will be like!!

Terrific book. Great plot. Great characters & character development. I’m really looking forward to more!

Solid Debut but Ray Porter Made it Possible

Without Ray Porter this wouldn’t have been as good as it was. Not bad for a debut but book 2 needs to raise its game from a storytelling perspective.

Very Good Military Tech and Espionage Story

This is my first Jack Stewart book. He has a good grasp of military aviation tech and weapons systems. This story was very engaging and kept my attention throughout. I looked forward to time in my truck so I could listen. Good characters, fun story line. I also love Ray Porter. I have heard him read other books and he is one of the best. I'll definitely be looking for more of the Stewart/Porter combo! Well done!

Lives up to the high octane claim

Edge of seat suspense pits Navy pilot colt and an NCS investigator against Chinese agents out to discredit the US Joint Strike Fighter. It starts with Colt’s JSF going haywire and almost destroying an American cruiser. There is no shortage of action that includes attempts on their lives and airborne engagements. I enjoyed this book so much that i finished it in 2 days.

Fantastic! If you love Jack Carr books you’ll love this! Same narrator as the James Reece books. Narration is outstanding!

Very good Navy spy thriller

Great start to the series; or it can be a stand-alone book. It dragged in a couple spots, which is why I gave 4 stars for the story. The book wound up the main story, but also left a lead in for further books in the series. No cliffhanger!

There are several related sub-plots going on at the same time, making a very interesting presentation of the story. Good characters, and I hope and expect their background and characters will be fleshed out in the upcoming books.

One caution - pay attention. Sometimes I got confused about who's who. Also, I have no naval or pilot background, so I needed to pay attention, although I was able to keep up and understand it.

Of course, as always, Ray Porter is outstanding. This book was on sale, and when I saw he was the narrator, the purchase was a slam dunk for me.

I bought book 2 as soon as I finished this book!!
