Don't expect to slowly savor this book

As usual, Ray hit it out of the park with his narrating. No other narrator matches in-flight comms as realistic as he does. The story is totally engaging and it's nearly impossible to stop and take a break. Jacks writing keeps you wanting to hear what's next. No need for a bookmark!

The final paragraph hit me like a slap in face, was so disappointed the next story isn't out yet. Was not ready to stop!

In general I love hearing all these familiar places in all his books. In my head I could hear the smack of dice rolling at the Fallon O-Club and when Ship Rock was mentioned in this story, I could completely envision and feel the entire approach. Makes me miss all the adventures and fun in the Dixie Valley!

Great job again 'Farley'!

A New Favorite Series

A great military thriller with well researched content and action packed twists and turns! The ending was a total "OH SNAP" moment. Stewarts military research and depictions are on point with an outstanding play in current world power dynamics.

Ray Porter, as always, is amazing narrator!

Totally recommend!

Authentic military talk and radio detail.

Loved the surprise ending. Puts the reader in the cockpit and in the whole experience. Looking forward to more of his books.

The lack of conclusion!

A good book that after a detailed good story fails to conclude key story plotting and makes an obvious choice of a next part without really making a satisfying conclusion to this build up of plot.

A good flying story.

I loved the descriptive flying sequences & modern technology described. The aviation speak adds beautifully to the experience. A good storyline too, with a surprise ending. Looking forward to the next one.

Not for the faint of heart

Bogey Spades, the third book in Jack Stewart's Battle Born series, capitulates military action with multiple countries espionage, TOPGUN pilot Colt Bancroft and NCIS agent Punky continue to pull the thread of conspiracy from the first 2 novels.

The novel is a fast-paced plot with escalating tension, containing both espionage and action.

The cast is relatable, the plot is entertaining, and there is some realism thrown in with the fiction. Its high-stakes mission is particularly close to modern day. As an observation, the novel is not as detailed out as some, or as intricate in the sciences or military processes. It definitely doesn’t hurt the story and honestly helps with the pace, but if you were hoping to glean a better understanding of beam technology as you read a military thriller it is not here…

What is here is a military thriller that ties up loose ends from the first books and setups a continuation for more. Keeps you engaged all the way until the end… I wish the end tied up a few more things…

Listened to all 3 books in Three days, lol. It was a ton packed and just an overall captivating series thus far! Already looking forward to the next book.

I like this series, it’s full of action and suspense, and I like the characters. Love all the information about the jets, the author is very knowledgeable. Our military personnel are my heroes. This book was probably my least favorite so far in the series, but it’s still good and I’m waiting on the next one! Of course Ray Porter is a master at this genre. He is my favorite.
