Cannot recommend enough!!!

I am absolutely obsessed with this series so far - for someone who reads RH constantly, this series is just blowing me away - a must read!! Trust me, you won’t regret it

Holy Heartbreak!

Jane, the Goddess that she is, has once again left me in broken awe. This story is amazing, the characters are lovable. just enough mystery to keep you in your toes, and the tension between Illy and her men is delicious. And of course our narrator is excellent!

Fabulous

November 28th won’t get here quick enough. This is a great series that is quite unique. Narration is wonderful and I have listened to the first two books one right after the other in 2 days. Slow burn, and lots of drama. I recommend!!

Worth it

I read the first two books and loved the main characters from the beginning. Amazing storyline that does not disappoint. Am looking forward to the next book.

****** Audiobook Review *****
The emotion in this book was even more amped up and the narrator did a fantastic job evoking those emotions and keeping the readers immersed in this fabulous world. The shock and pain Isobel is in after what happened at the end of book 1, how alone she feels and how she has to handle her father after everything that happened, done so well in audio. The guys do a good job trying to hide things from her but eventually they lose that battle. The emotions we get from them as they grow closer to her and they keep trying to deny their connection with her. It was interesting to get to know more of the guys and seeing their background, especially Oscar and his sister and Cian and his situation. I fell even more for Oscar listening to his sister and how he treated and talked about her. So gooood 😍😍😍 I ached for Isobel in this one. I breezed through this audiobook to get ready for book 3’s release last week and boy am I glad I did that. It helped me notice new things that I missed while reading the ebook the first time. It also got me so excited for these characters. This series is going to be in the top 3 of my favorite series of 2023 and I bet 2024 at this rate. Highly recommend! I am kinda an audio snob and I usually prefer male and female narrators but this narrator does such a good job doing everyone I was not aching for a male narrator. 5/5 easily from me!

Sooooo book 2 I think is even better than book 1 and I don’t say that lightly. I honestly was worried based on the blurb I might not love it as much as I did book 1 (just because I was anxious she wouldn’t be around the Alphas as much because of the tour and I wouldn’t be as connected as I was before). Totally wrong and I am already itching for book 3! The book hangover I got from book 2 I think is even worse than book 1’s because of the huge reveal and boy did I not see it coming! Usually I can but I was totally in the same boat as Isobel and I won’t say anything more than that!

So this is a slower burn but we finally get some juiciness in this one with feelings maaaay be developing haha. I am not going to give things way but I am even more intrigued by these Alphas because we get to see some of them in their hometown and you can finally see what they have been dealing with, what led them to making the plan/deal to go to Ironside in the first place. I feel for this society and especially with how many are living in poverty. I liked we didnt have the tour until towards the end, we got to see how Isobel and the group handle her situation and all the quirks that come with not completing a mate bond. I really appreciate all the attention to detail the author has given. I can totally see this book as a tv show, it would be so gripping, the audience would be on the edge of their seat, tuning in like all the characters do with what goes on at Ironside.

Like I said, we got some new perspectives in this book, more characters got airtime and I think it was done so well. Some who weren’t on my good/fav list definitely moved on up. Especially seeing Oscar’s family, seeing the affinity for one of the stoic/mysterious Alphas, the new nickname haha, and Cian’s background/his “fill-in” moments made me fall so hard, not gonna lie. And Niko really surprised me, in the best way. The snark was amazing in this installment (the group chat is 10000% some of my favorite moments haha). Favorite line I highlighted was “F*ing fantastic, this is exactly what I had planned for my Saturday evening. Scent-marking a god d*mn unconscious person.” I went through so many emotions, even more than in book 1 (there were less assaults on Isobel but the ending....boy that ending ). I loved seeing the guys finally understand her relationship with her dad, how they were trying to protect her, how they are figuring her out. I did hate the secrets they are keeping but it fit with the storyline and they are slowly unveiling everything. OH and the delicious Professor we got some airtime with in this one definitely piqued my interest haha. Such an enigma! I mean like they all seem to be.

This plot is getting getting even better with it’s intricacy, the vileness is coming out into the light of day where it was hidden before, the visual and emotional details in these scenes is off the chart (the chain part IYKYK) and the Alphas are wearing down and can’t ignore all their feelings at this point. Again, if I could give this more than 5 stars I would. Favorite series of 2023. Brilliant world this author has created, beautiful and complicated relationships and conflict, I cannot wait to escape into Ironside again and dive into book 3 once it’s available!!

10 mates but NO SPICE and still a 5 star

Obsessed. Simply OBSESSED. I need book 3 more than I need air. HOW COULD YOU END IT LIKE THAT?!?! Illy is finally starting to stand up more for herself in this book while also betraying the perfect sigma (eye roll). The guys are still as$hats that need get it together and start acting like the might actually deserve Illy. Also I know the 10 guy thing sounds CRAZY especially with no MM or spice yet but I promise you the guys are SO VASTLY DIFFERENT. I highly recommend this series

And the plot thickens!!!!!

Heart wrenching, sweet, I’m gutted and excited all at the same time. Love the character development and the complexities within this journey the characters are taking. The plot and its mysteries continue and I cannot wait for book 3!

Why is book 3 not on audible yet? 🤣💗💗💗

I didn’t think it was possible but I actually enjoyed book 2 even more than the first! This series is SO well written and the story is unique and engaging. I couldn’t put it down until I realized it was 4 AM and my kids would be up in two hours! I absolutely loved this book from the first page to the intense cliffhanger of the last line!

No World Building

There's no world building that explains the need for the game at Ironside. It's disappointing.

I automatically retracted 1 star because of the cliffhanger ending.

I won't be reading the next book in this series.
