Annoyingly Awkward Teenager...

Borderlune stupid vs idiotic, who backs herself into every corner & has displaced emotions for people who are trying to destroy her. Nevertheless, interesting & suspenseful storyline. Fantastic duet narration.

I loved this story! I cannot wait to find more. I loved how strong Dakota is and they way she fits for the ones she loves. The mystery, suspense and lust through the book kept me on the edge of my seat. The ending was crazy! I’m rooting for her

A must read/listen to!

One of my favorite series , I’ve listen and read before each new book comes out. It’s exciting, it’s my go to series when I get into a book slump. I highly recommend this series, only complaint is I NEED MORE BOOKS ON AUDIOBOOKS! I need them, need ! So put books 2,3 & 4 on audiobooks. PLEASE!

Captivating characters an amazing narrators

Well she did it again she knocked it out of the park. CM Stunich is an excellent writer. Her stories are all unique and really make you understand where each of the characters are coming from even though it’s usually only narrated from one perspective, the duet narration is amazing and really adds so so much to the story. The narrators did an amazing job bringing these characters to life, cannot wait for the next installation. I knew I wanted to get it this audiobook after reading the book but I was pleasantly surprised with how good the narrators did.

What a twist!

Ok well this is one book that starts out with a punch and just keeps on going. Loving the twists and turns! Erin and Grayson were fantastic! Time for book 2!!

The mystery of the plot

I really enjoyed this read ! Did not expect the twist and turns of events which is why I liked it so well . Looking forward to the next read book 2

I am a HUGE C.M. Stunich fan. I've read so many of her books! I've been putting off reading this series for a while because I was waiting on the last book to come out on Audible, but I just couldn't wait any longer. I'll just have to read the last book on my kindle.

With that said, this is going to be a hard review to write... I found myself cringing a lot while listening to this one. A good majority of her characters and stories revolve around young adults/teens etc. BUT this is the first time I really feel like these are super young kids with no life experience. That makes it a bit harder to get into. There is a LOT of repetition, repeating inner monologues, characters having the same conversation multiple times, constantly describing someones clothes or facial expression, or mood... it's just a lot. I feel like if half of that was cut out we'd lose a good 100 pages of the book! Plus the middle of the story DRAGS on forever, back and forth between liking and hating each other and learning about the characters, bit nothing ever happens.

As for the actual story, I'm hooked. I love the originality of it. The idea that someone was kidnapped as a child and finds out about it as a teenage and is uprooted from everything she's known and thrown into a whole new world with a new family, while simultaneously learning all the other crazy secrets! Love it, just not as well executed as some other stories.

Fingers crossed that the second book is better now that the second plot twist has dropped!
