My name is Joseph A. Peragine. I am a paranoid schizophrenic. On October 22, 2000, I tried to kill myself in a severely hallucinogenic state due to undiagnosed paranoid schizophrenia. I was suffering from this illness for many years leading up to that day. Very hard to get through

I understand that the author's mind is like the audio in the background and the overlapping songs, but this would have made a better impact in small doses. The entire time I was trying to understand him, I couldn't hear him with the sound of songs blaring. 😩 I really wanted to like this book too. As someone who grew up with severe ADHD, there are already multiple "tracks" going on in my mind, so the added levels stacked ontop of his words was so hard for me that I literally had to stop listening all together. I tried several times hoping it would get better but it didn't.
