I was pleasantly surprised
At times the story could have explained things and provided better details on the story but overall I really liked this story and the narration was great.A good vampire series that will have book 2 being released on October 9th.

Great Story
There is a lot I really liked about this story and kept me hooked. I'M rather glad I bought the audiobook cause I really couldn't put it down. I gave one less star than a perfect score because I felt it to be lacking in some areas to where the book claimed to be adult themed any there in was kept brief in any description and mostly inferred. overall a great story just under the wrong genre. I would have given a perfect score if going in named to be reading a YA book instead of the misleading claim.

Horrible male narrator
The story was interesting, but I could not get past the narrator for the lead vampire, Drake. If I hadn't paid for this book, I wouldn't have finished. He sounded like Dick Tracey speaking of some sleazy detective case. My husband and kids couldn't stop laughing. A tall. dark and handsome vampire is NOT the image that comes to mind when listening to him speak.
The female narrator was amazing. She even presented the lead vampire more realistically.
The story line was quite good with some unexpected twists. I really want to get the next book, but won't if they have the same male narrator.
