Darren heads to the Isle of Wight, where he gathers more undead and turns the beautiful Marcy. Howie and his remaining, much smaller team go to rescue the living who have escaped there, but Darren traps them in an abandoned hotel and sends his hordes in after them.

Even if they can escape, tides prevent them from leaving the island, and they must face Darren and Marcy in a final showdown.

Very good series.

Worth a listen for sure. I mean it's a zombie story so it's full of blood and violence but hey if you're like me and you're into that stuff you'll like it! Check it out.

Good series

(SPOILERS FOR WHOLE SERIES) This is by far my favorite book series and having finished it and going through again I have to say I still love these books. Though some of the writing is really rough. The series does get super cringey such as Howie talking to himself with Anger and Rage(MORE SPOILER: now knowing it’s the infection it makes a little more sense. It’s still cringey) or the unnecessary sex scene with Darren and Marcy. I wish there was less of those aspects to the series. But the dialogue and character interactions in the group as perfect. When this series gets good. Boy does it get good. But when it’s cringey, it’s all in on the cringeness and it’s super weak. Still love the series however.

I am so disappointed in Darren - he turned out to be such a wicked character. Could his arrogance be his undoing? Listen to this and see. In Part 4 Howie and his group set off to the Isle of Wight to retrieve the women and children who were evacuated from the Fort before the huge battle with the zombies. Haywood introduces a new character, Marcy. Darren bites her and he may have bitten off more than he can chew. Also introduced is a character named Lani. She is sort of a female Dave. I like her. Haywood's best writing talent/skill, in my opinion, is his ability to create such great characters. They never have just one side - they have many layers. Sometimes they are good, sometimes not so good - sometimes brilliant and sometimes dumb. It is fun to see how they will react to situations. As usual, Dan Morgan brings them to life. It is amazing that he can successfully read female voices and male voices without my realizing that it is the same reader. Very talented reader. Good choice by Haywood. I am amazed that a publisher has not picked up this series. It is just too good to pass up. I have listened to or read all nineteen days and cannot wait until the next one comes out. Great job RR Haywood!!!
