Good book, but just thought the others were better

Don't get me wrong, I love this series and will continue to purchase the on going series. However I just thought this book was a bit too much teenage drama then the rest. Everyones sleeping with someone, and jealousy creeps in a bit too much for my taste. Started feeling more like Bachelor island or some such crappy real time TV episode for my taste.

the only thing I hate about this series is that I binge the newest book when it comes out, and then have to wait for the next.

Richard has out done himself

I fell in love with the undead series from book one. They just keep getting better and better. This is by far my favorite. If you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend you start with the first book and get stuck in.

Wonderful. Same as always.

Another treat from a damn good storyteller. I don’t know many other authors who can present such a large body of work that unfailingly leaves the reader laughing, cheering, and fully engaged until the end of each book. Haywood’s strength as a storyteller exists not only in the enjoyable banter of the characters, but also in the simple fact that he does *not* kill off dearly-loved characters left-and-right. Many authors that rely on that cheap trick far too often, and I refuse to accept it as ‘emotional engagement’ with the story.
Joe Jameson has now become my favorite reader. What power he has with different voices, timing, and tone.

Going strong and left wanting more!

this series came out of nowhere for me and is now longest i have ever bought. author does a good job of not always doing the obvious, which i appreciate and which has kept the story fresh.

it felt like we were approaching the end, but this book sets up for a good continuation for at least another book or two. books arent perfect, but the characters are like a family unit now and these are easy listens that keep my interest and entertain me. looking forward to 21!

I loved these books, but where is going?

I have loved these book and I have invested a lot of time and money on them, but I am now wondering if it will ever come to a conclusion and how much more time and money will it cost me?
I listened to it twice and to be honest its now getting a bit repetitive and I am fed up with left hanging..

brilliant brilliant brilliant

it's hard to review a book in this series at this stage because if you have read up to now you already know just how good these books are. R R Haywood has not let us down and Joe Jameson gets better with every book. Unlike other series this just keeps getting better and better. Mr Haywood has the ability to evoke such emotional response. you can expect to laugh out loud then have tears running down your face

Simply awesome

I cannot express how much I enjoyed this audiobook.

To keep the review simple. This is the best boom of the series so far and finally we are starting to see the bigger picture.

Well done boss. Best day ever!!

Filler! Filler! Filler!

Repetitive trite filler! Narrator gets much better as the narrative decays even further. Literally nothing has happened in about ten books.

Amazing narration - Incredible story - Fact

R.R. Haywoods writing has steadily become richer and more mature. Very few authours have kept me awake till 4.00 am with such intense story scenarios. His storyline for the Undead has widened to become more intriguing to match the longevity of it’s story arc. Nowhere has this become more apparent in Part 20 Equilibrium. The story development in this book has opened the series to a new frontier of possibilities and adventure. It left me gagging for more.

In The Undead Part 20 there is a confluence of three groups of characters with an addition of several major characters. Joe Jameson does the most incredible job of jumping from one character’s voice to another with different accents and pitch. No one can do female characters as convincingly as Joe, from old to young it’s hard to think a man is voicing them. There are a few scenes where there are a dozen or so characters quickly interacting and bantering among themselves and Joe switches between them all seamlessly.

I’ve listened to every Undead audiobook. When Dan Morgan quit the series after the 10th audiobook I was gutted. When Joe Jameson took over I was pleasantly surprised. My only gripe was his voicing of Dave which came across as Dave being a bit imbecilic. Luckily Dave didn’t speak that much but after a couple more books Joe Jameson tweaked Dave’s character back to Dan Morgan’s version of a snappier character while also adding a cohesion and familiarity to all the other characters . I think Joe Jameson is one of my favourite narrators, I would go as far as saying he’s as good as Steven Pacey (Joe Abercrombie’s First Law series) ...if not better in other ways. I can’t imagine anyone else narrating this series, he is a tour de force.
