Publisher's summary

Baseball has never been sexier in an all-new novel by New York Times best-selling Author, K. Bromberg.

Easton Wylder is baseball royalty. The game is his life. His passion. His everything.

So when an injury threatens to end Easton's season early, the team calls in renowned physical therapist, Doc Dalton, to oversee his recovery. Except it's not Doc who greets Easton for his first session, but rather, his daughter, Scout. She may be feisty, athletic, defiant, and gorgeous, but Easton is left questioning whether she has what it takes to help him.

Scout Dalton's out to prove a female can handle the pressure of running the physical therapy regimen of an MLB club. And that proof comes in the form of getting phenom Easton Wylder back on the field. But getting him healthy means being hands-on.

And with a man as irresistible as Easton, being hands-on can only lead to one thing, trouble. Because the more she touches him, the more she wants him, and she can't want him. Not when it's her job to maintain the club's best interest, in regards to whether he's ready to play.

But when sparks fly and fine lines are crossed, can they withstand the heat, or is one of them bound to get burned?

I hate cliff hangers.

the book was good, at least this part. as it got closer to the end I keep checking the amount of time left to see if it could be wrapped up. Series are fine if each book is the end of an arc with some sense of completion. this is not that. ugh.

Hard heart be wear of cliffhanger!!

This has been such a good listen.

The story was great and a nice twist in the “girly falls for boy but can’t have him” story line

I have when stories have cliffhanger but this was so good right up until the last minute!

I can’t wait to listen to The catch to see how it all is ends up. Audible 20 review sweepstakes entry

WHAT!?

All I can think right now is what the heck!? This story is so sexy, so real, it pulls you in and holds you there until the very end and then...Wow...And of course I love Andi Arndt and Joe Arden. They did a fantastic job of telling this story! You definitely want to listen, you won't regret it!

I think K Bromberg loves to torture me!

Let me tell you something about this author, she really knows how to get you with a cliffhanger! I had assumed, yeah-yeah, I know what assuming does, that this was going to be a series where each book was about a different player on the team. Just so you know, I was wrong. The way this ended, GAH! The narrators were some of my favorites, Andi Arndt and Joe Arden. I had to stop in the middle to listen to another audiobook by the author that I was supposed to review by a certain date. But when I started listening to this again I was hooked right back in. Not to mention I'm still a little unsure about Santiago. I thought maybe one thing was going to happen, but then at the end there was a whole twist that I did NOT see coming. And wow was it a good one. Of course I had already used my February credit on the Meghan March audiobook I'm listening to currently, so I had to wait for my March credit to get the sequel to this one. Which I cannot wait to get started on and find out what is going to happen!

Great story!

I’ve listened to this three times now and it’s still a great story every time. While I love the story and the author, what I can really do without is all the GDs and JC’s. Cursing does not bother me but that does. It’s so unnecessary and ruins the dialogue for me. But this is a story I will listen to again and again.

Holy Cliffhanger!

Wow, what a story! When Easton is put on the DL (disabled list), his team gives him the best physical therapist out there - Doc Dalton. Only it's not Doc he gets but his prodigy who happens to be his daughter Scout. Over the course of their contracted time together Scout and Easton go from therapist/client to lovers and what could be more.
This is a cliffhanger and I'm glad I had access to the next book THE CATCHER. I would go mad having to wait!
Joe Arden and Andi Arndt showcase their talented narration skills in this steamy sports romance that will have your toes curling and your emotions on a rollercoaster.

Loved it

Really enjoyed this book. Thanks for the heads up to the warnings of the cliffhanger! I made Thayer to check the series was done before I started.

Great listen

All the negative comments about a cliffhanger that's very typical of miss Bromberg and always worth the wait
