Shane & Brooklyn: triggers: domestic abuse, cheating, cancer, embezzlement. Brooklyn is back in her hometown for the summer to help out at her family's boxing gym. Shane is an MMA fighter looking to get his second chance at a title. When they first meet you can tell there's an immediate connection between them but then Brooklyn is ice water over anything happening between them by informing Shane that she has a boyfriend. Brooklyn is very judgemental and makes a lot of assumptions and Shane has no problem putting her in her place. It's a really good read and Shane and Brooklyn are extremely hot. But then have to contend with her extremely protective family, her dad, who owns the gym where Shane trains and her brothers. Can they keep their tryst a secret or will it all explode in their faces.

I love when a book is recommended to me, so I take a chance on it and love it. Not sure why I haven’t read this book before. This was a cute, sweet, and entertaining story. Brooklyn and Shane’s chemistry was undeniable, their banter was fun, and their overall connection was amazing. I enjoyed this book.
Alexander Cendese is the reason I listened and I am so glad I did. I enjoy listening to Mr Cendese’s uplifting, heartfelt, and enthusiastic narration. CJ Bloom has the sweetest, most adorable way of giving a beautiful emotional heart to the character she is portraying.

Supporting each other’s dreams is the true message behind Brooklyn and Shane’s story.

It’s important to have a relationship based on mutual respect, and not rooted in fear of past hurts. I like the way they work it out and find success. The characters are real and flawed, but I found myself rooting for them all.

Narrators do a good job, although I enjoyed Brooklyn’s voice better than Shane’s. A fighter should have a deeper, more dominant sounding voice.

Loved it !! this story. the narrator is so fantastic it's like your really there!! After listening to this story,. I totally enjoyed reading this book. It’s well written and the characters were uniquely fantastic. I would suggest this book to my friends that like this sort of genera. this was a good book. The narrator was great.

the banter!

I loved the banter between Brooklyn and Shane! and Shane makes me want to watch an MMA fight lol! as always CJ Bloom brings life to the words .. my favorite female narrator!
