Great story starting halfway through- but “huh?

I never write reviews- (I should because I listen to audible books literally non-stop other than while I’m at work - unless I’m on my break) but I was reading through others’ reviews and was looking for one particular thing.. the only thing that drove me absolutely crazy was the over-use of “huh?” Omg I swear it got to a point I rolled my eyes every time and my family thought I was perpetually annoyed with them lol! I started and stopped listening to this book having trouble getting through the beginning. Shane East is one of my all time favorite narrators!! The story had me hooked (finally) once I got about half way through. Now I’m on to the next one!

Disappointed

Writing style and cadence were not for me. The main character’s mannerisms were annoying and so we’re her friends. The thing with her dad was all over the place. I couldn’t get into any of the characters and didn’t really believed in them as a couple. I was really hoping that I found a new series to read / listen but I’m going to pass on any more... I don’t want to waste the credits.

Fake

When something bad happens we can let it drive us or break us. Revenge can really be sweet. I really enjoyed the book and I can't wait to read the one I know will come after. It's really well written and I was absorbed from the beginning. It took off like a rocket and never slowed down. Sinclair and Summer's story is awesome.I
I really enjoyed both narrators. I read this before I listened to it. They had pleasant voices and did their roles well.

Emotional and Sexual Enemies to Lovers

Thank you, Laxmi, for writing a book that I wanted to know the ending but I didn't want it to end! This book will have several twists that will add so much to the development of these characters. Sin is a ruthless businessman with seemingly little to no redeeming characteristics, but gradually I came to love him. Summer is a loving sister who will do whatever's necessary to save her sister. Summer is sassy and challenges Sin. I love this and Laxmi also lets us hear their inner thoughts which are emotional, funny, and enlightening. There are several passionate and explosive sex and love scenes. Be still my heart!

The narrators are excellent and enhanced this story even more. They are talented storytellers that make the listener experience the emotions of these characters. Faye Adele excellently portrays Summer's spunk, caring nature, fighting spirit, and passion. Shane gives Sin a deep swooning voice and a sexy accent.

I highly recommend this Audible book. I know that a few reviewers hated that Sin cheated on Summer but they were not in a relationship at the time. He did it to emphasize that the relationship they would have was a fake one for business of some sort. But even he regretted doing this to her when he realized how it affected her.

Possessive billionaire Shane East? Yes, please!

This is the story of Sinclair and Summer, first book in the Big Bad Billionaires series. This is also my first time reading L. Steele. The audiobook was highly recommended to me, and Shane East being a possessive alpha billionaire is enough reason for me.

Admittedly, it took me a while to really get into the story. A couple of starts and stops, and after a few chapters, the story picked up a bit. Without telling too much of the story, Sinclair is one of the partners of 7A, seven men who share a similar story from their childhood. They're all seeking revenge, and when Summer appears on Sinclair's radar, he puts the perfect plan in place. Summer's younger sister is ill, and requires expensive medical treatment. When Sinclair offers to help Summer's sister, she jumps at the offer. Until Sinclair tells her that the priceis she poses marries him--temporarily. There's an obvious attraction between Sinclair and Summer, but Sinclair is determined to focus on his plan of revenge, and Summer's priority is her sister. As hard as they fight, it's useless, and there are some hot moments.

Throughout the story, you meet the seven partners, each having their own story. Although partners, these uber-rich men aren't necessarily the best of friends. But they have each other's backs without question. This is a very interesting series, and I'm looking forward to the next story, which is Saint's. You get enough of him in this book to whet your appetite, and I'm very curious about his story.

Shane East and Faye Adele narrate this story beautifully, and capture the essence of Sinclair and Summer.

Not my cup of tea

2.5 stars. I had read snippets of the book in the author's newsletters/emails and it sounded like it would be good. I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. Maybe it was the narrators, but I think it was more that Sinclair was not at all likable and Summer wasn't much better. In real life, he would be in prison for the things he did. I am not sure where she would be, in therapy maybe.

Sinclair sets out to bully Summer into marriage any way he can, not excluding blackmail. Summer wants to represent his new business venture and is willing to let him treat her any way he wants as long as she gets his account. Actually, they deserve each other. There is, of course, more to the story than hot sex on every surface and frequent statements of how much they don't want each other, but not much. Maybe you will like it more than I did.

Ready for the next Big Bad Billionaire

When I first started listening to this story I absolutely hated Sinclair. He was definitely an alphahole! As the story progressed and Sinclair and Summer started falling in love he became more likable. You find out why he acted so horribly and can sympathize with him.
Anxiously waiting to listen to the other stories in this series!
The narration was excellent also.

why would you do this to me how can you end the book like that, just cut me off with no warning anyway I enjoy this book from the beginning to the end.

I loved it. The characters and the other stories . I recently became a huge fan of Faye and Shane. will look for more under their voices. I love the story from the beginning to the end. The female character wasn't whiney, and the male was....hot! I generally start to lose interest in the story in the last 30 minutes or so once the characters realize they were deep in love and get extra mushy but I'm glad I stuck with it! got a lovely an exciting surprise at the end. I wasn't planning on listening to the entire series if I'm being honest, but I'm definitely changed my mind now on to the story. I can't wait to see what happens between Saint and Victoria

worst story everrrrrr

This is one of the worse story I read . I don't know if it was the people telling the story or the book it self. I even listen to it twice to make sure it was horrible. You have been warned, Please don't waste your money.

Both readers give a wonderful performance

Both readers give a wonderful performance of a very sub standard book. This may be what some readers are looking for but I definitely was not! It evoked the same emotions in me as too thin toilet paper.

This Book Should Come With A Warning

This is my very first read and listen from Ms. Steele. I received an audiobook giveaway through Facebook Shane East official fan group Shaneiaks.

This is the first book of the Big Bad Billionaires Series and can be read on its own. I did not know what to expect in terms of writing style from the author. I like the film trivias and quotes that were written in the beginning of the chapters and exchanged between the characters. I enjoyed enemies to lovers trope and this book did not disappoint with all the wicked banter between the alphahole hero and the fierce heroine which is my favourite. Although I overall enjoyed this hot steamy book there are scenes which I find uncomfortable and might even be triggers to some readers one of which is workplace harassment.

Brilliant performance from new-to-me narrator Faye Adele and Shane East brought his A game as an Alphahole Sinclair Sterling.

Summer & Sin

Summer doesn’t realise each time she bumps into Sin he’s instigated it . He wants her so he can get back at her Father and he blackmails her into marrying him. Sin tells himself it all for the plan but and he won’t admit to himself his feelings have changed . Summer knows Sin is a alphahole but she has feelings for him as well when Sin realises his feelings are real she doesn’t make it easy and makes him work for it. This is my first book by L. Steele and I enjoyed it I have 2 more in this series to listen too.

Loved listening to Sin and Summer

I read this ages ago, but was lucky enough to get a audible copy of the book. Hearing Sin and Summer is so so good. I just loved the narrative between them. This book, is brilliant. Having read four of the billionaire books, this one is still my favourite 😁😁

Great Audio book

I love all of this author's books, I especially love them when they are in audio form. Love the dynamics between the couple , the story and the narrators are two of my favourite. This book is most definitely one to buy and listen to

loved the dual narration of Shane East and Faye Adele , brilliant.

Sit back and enjoy. If you like hot Alpha males, who is a billionaire, intelligent and sexy, oh yes great female heroine. This is for you.
Sinclair is out for revenge and it's on Summer. But little does he know the ride he is in for.

Hot and sexy

bit dark for my taste

this book contains many triggers that some readers may find difficult. I think so much more could have been done with the story, an while I know the story is continued throughout other books I still feel more could have been done with it. it seemed to be half filled with sex that I didn't find particularly appealing and the rest was one quarter story line and one quarter filler. I enjoy are dark romance usually but found myself sat there thinking 'really' to most of it. I don't think I'll be getting the next book in the series.

I'd never listened to anything from this author before but it definitely won't be my last.

I love Shane East the male narrator, and he doesn't disappoint this time either.

The story of enemies to lovers cracks along at a good pace, and there was plenty of intrigue and heat throughout. Definitely a great listen and one I'd recommend having a go with.

Brilliant

This story had me on edge wondering how they were going to get through their differences and find their way and i have to say i am so very very happy that they made it, because their chemistry was next level. Fantastic narration added so much to this story and has cemented itself as one that i know will be a relisten for me.
