A sequel is much needed!

I've read this book 3 times and now I've listened to it. This is the best sci-fi story I've ever heard. Mr. Paulsen, a sequel will prove to be of high artistic production value. You have die hard fans for Transal Saga.

Great read!

This book brought back nostalgic feelings of when I read it as a kid. The ET Tarzan of the apes.

slightly cliche in my taste but I did enjoy it :)

It was fine. Etertaining story. I thought it was a bit inaccurate when he does certain things it's just not super realistic but I do understand its just a story.

Transcended Expectations

This is my favorite book of all time; Mostly nostalgia I know, but being a heavy reader growing up. Out of all the books I read, this one was always vivid in my mind. I was afraid that after going so long without reading it, that it wouldnt hold up, or it would come off childish. but it was still as memorable as I remembered. Paulsons a great author and if you like adventure, you will definitely find quite the exodus here.

Gary Paulsen delivers!

I have loved this book for nearly 20 years now. The narrator wasn't that great.

Long time fave'

I always struggled with reading in elementary and this book was the first book that was so compelling that I read it cover to cover. Though because of how long ago that was I read the incomplete version, the one with the cliff hanger. my only real problems with the audio book is that the readers voice doesn't match the tone of the book for me. He's obviously trying, for the most part but it also seem like an old recording so it ends up having dated pitfalls, like the audio quality and direction sound much like that of a cassette playing. but all over that aside I still love this story.
