Publisher's Summary

As millions of readers of Hatchet, The River, and Brian's Winter know, Brian Robeson survived alone in the wilderness by finding solutions to extraordinary challenges. But now that's he's back in civilization, he can't find a way to make sense of high school life. He feels disconnected, more isolated than he did alone in the North. The only answer is to return-to "go back in"-for only in the wilderness can Brian discover his true path in life, and where he belongs.

Fun Adventure

Great read, great adventure. Smooth and fun read. Wanting to see what Brian does or runs into next keeps you speeding through the read.

Truly speaks to the man I could have been.

I have enjoyed all of the Hatchet series. growing up in a rural mountain town I spent much of my youth fishing, hunting and camping. I chose a different path, but these books spoke to the man I could have been. Living life alone in deep wilderness. hunting and fishing to survive. nothing more natural than that.

Great closure for the series

This brings a good ending to tbe Hatchet Series, although Brian's Hunt keeps it going a bit longer. Absolutely loved the whole series. Listened to Hatchet just to relive reading it with my sons and never planned to so the other books, but I got hooked.

Another great book in the series

I loved the first book and thought the second was OK. But books 3 and 4 renewed my love for this series! Great story and great performance by the reader.
