Anticipating the rest of the series!

I really enjoy this series. This was a refreshing topic in the Paranormal genre. I'm an older reader, and there is a bit more sexual content than I would necessarily prefer (for the teen audience), so keep that in mind if you are considering this for your child. (The two main male characters both have a reputation as a 'ladies man', and it's brought up alot.) I know this is a natural topic for teens, but the heroine never makes a clear decision on it for herself, other than an internal conflict of whether she should be sexually active or not. so I'm not sure what the authors point is, in keeping her indecisive. So that's really my only complaint. That it feels as if it should be geared to older teens (17 and up) or adults. Again that's my only complaint. The context of the story is awesome.

Such a phenomenal story!

Your mind will take you places like you've never been before when you listen to a story like this! I've listened to this many times and it's a psychological story that you'll never forget! The narrator's voice is soothing as you go even deeper into this story!

A Must Read for all Urban Fantasy lovers

This prequel to the Soul Screamers series was offered as a free audiobook. I'd never read anything by Rachel Vincent so I thought I'd check out the free version before I spend money on the series. I'm so glad I did. I devoured this audiobook in about 24 hours (pesky work got in the way) then went on to buy the first book in the series. I'm two thirds of the way through that one and can't wait to finish it tonight. Definitely a series I would recommend to anyone that enjoys urban fantasy.

leaves ya hanging....

short story to the beginning of the series. not a fan of the narrator .. she was monotoned and had a really weird voice when trying to be a guy. the story is interesting but short. I literally got absolutely no answers about anything. and just as it was getting good it ended....

Definately has my attention.....

This book is different, and I love different when it comes to supernatural books. Just this little taste of a book has definitely wet my appetite for more. I will be listening to the next book in this series. I have listened to the narrator before in other books and did not like her then.....for some reason, in this series (I think it is because the author is different), she is wonderful and I enjoy her narration.

authentic

This is so accurate to an experience with a mental health facility, with the exception of the end of course. This author really did their research well. Or they were able to convey experience well. whichever.
