I was not happy

And planned to return it. However I am glad I listened through, that I think I really can use the method in chapter ten. Maybe if I listen to the chapters before again, maybe they can be used. However I felt like the mad hattee in one exercise..

Very disappointing

I recently listened to my first NLP book "The Ultimate Introduction to NLP; How to Build a Successful Life". I enjoyed it very much!! So much so that I eagerly searched for another one on NLP to listen to. This one had good ratings and so I chose it. I had my concerns about the narrators after listening to the sample but gave it a go. I will not be finishing this book nor will I be listening to any other books by these authors. They seem to narrate all of their books, and the narration is not good in my opinion. They sound like kindergarten teachers. Sigh... This book is a "sit down" book as it has many exercises and they often ask you to "Stop the tape". That throws me too. I haven't listened to a "tape" in I don't know when. Or he will have you do an exercise, usually involving your imagination - He will pause, say "take your time", and then a few seconds later will say, "GOOoood!" after each pause. I found this somewhat insulting for lack of a better word. A dumbing down. Very distracting. Plus, he doesn't give enough time for you to do what he has asked and so one would HAVE to stop the audio, in order to think. This is NOT a book that you can listen to while driving. Don't even try. Too much of "stop the tape", or "get a pen and paper" and so on... It is useless for my purposes. I listen to books while I am DRIVING, commuting, and / or doing something mundane. When I am sitting down, I am doing research for work. One of the main reasons I choose audio books. Sorry. I cannot recommend this, at all.
