Publisher's summary

A full-length, standalone romance from the New York Times bestselling author of Archer's Voice.

Grace Hamilton was the girl with a plan. She knew exactly where her life was going and prided herself on always achieving her goals. It was who she was, and how she lived her life. She never stepped outside the lines, and never considered what she might desire and whom she was actually trying so hard to please. Until him...

Carson Stinger was a man who didn't play by any rules except his own. Working in the adult entertainment industry, he didn't care what others thought, and took each day as it came, no direction, no plan. He knew what women wanted from him and believed it was all he had to offer. Until her...

When circumstances forced them to spend several hours together, they walked away changed. But for two people who never should have meshed, overcoming the reality of their vastly different lives wasn't possible. At least not yet...

This is a standalone Sign of Love novel, inspired by Scorpio.

I love everything by this author!

Hearing Carson grow and evolve as a man throughout this story was amazing. The steamy parts were a nice bonus to a great story.

Enjoyable

I love the story line of very different personalities getting to know each other after making an initial judgement at their first encounter. I loved the evolution of how someone can present a different outlook on choice and our ability to change for the better and for love, however the added end was a little too out there with Bakos. Otherwise a great romance

Not what I expected

The summary does no justice for this story. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. I was not what I expected in a good way and would recommend it.

Give this book a chance

I was hesitant to read this based on the back book cover, but it is so much more than the blurb on the back.

Good but different

Overall, I liked this book. The thing that didn’t work for me was that it was like two separate stories. The first part was so different from where the characters ended up, the two parts were almost incompatible. I started the book expecting one kind of story, a promiscuous hero working in the porn industry. I ended with an ex-Navy Seal who had been separated from the heroine for 5 years. I finished it because I like Mia Sheridan, but the about face in plot direction really disappointed me.

the author is a good for anguish romances

the narrator's where great . I love that the man wasn't rich or the women . I like that Carson was a porn star and Grace was a lawyer and they had a sexy weekend end in Vegas. I really fell for Carson when he sung for Grace in the elevator that was the sexiest and nicest thing ever . What I didn't like or was not believable to me at all was that neither had sex for 5 years come on. Grace was engaged but she never had sex with her fiance. Carson was in the military exercises and adrenaline are gone to make your sex drive more intense and he was a ex porn star but he didn't have sex for 5 years not believable.

Finding Mr. Right and only you can say okay

OMG, Mia Sheridan does NOT shy away from the hard topics and she does it in a straight forward, sensitive, heart wrenching way. *Trigger warning, this book deals with abuse, Pornography and human trafficking.

I appreciate how the author presents young love as being able to withstand time and be a forever connection, while showing the characters' growth.

I most absolutely LOVED the elevator scene. It was so symbolic for the start of Grace and Carson's relationship. Thank you for this one Ms. Sheridan. Although now I have "Sister Christian" by Night Ranger stuck on repeat in my head, it's worth it.

Maxine Mitchell's voice is perfect for these characters and she does such a good job with the male voices. Brian Pallino does a good job as Carson and sounds the way I picture the male lead, thank you. His is a voice I am new to hearing and I went to look at what other books he has narrated. I will be listening to more.

Cute

I am not sure where to start on my review. I liked the book I gave it 4/5 stars, however, it started one way and ended another. The book went through 3-4 different stories with Carson. Gracie is a law student coming to Vegas for a law conference she meets Carson who is in Vegas for an adult film conference to sign photos and do a meet and greet. Gracie ends up running into Carson by accident and then from there their relationship just evolves. Carson wants more from his life and joins the military. With Carson he starts out as an adult film star, military, saves women from being sex trafficked, then turns into an agent. I felt like there was an identity crisis with Carson. I wish it stuck to on story instead of him going into so many different characters. Besides that, the book was super funny and the banter between Gracie and Carson was pretty good also. It is a really cute story how their love started.
