Publisher's summary

Passion is blind in vengeance and love...

Ayden's suburban home was invaded by a pack of Lycans.

The brutal attack is the only memory she carries of her former life.

Now, one motive burns in her soul: Kill them all.

The Sons of Wrath - a brood of vengeance-dealing warrior demons - band with Ayden to hunt the Lycans on Detroit's most deadly feeding grounds.

Kane Walker should've been her easiest kill.

Unfortunately, the newly bitten Lycan has something she wants - clues that may finally lay her past to rest. To reach them, she must be willing to submit to the sensual pleasures awakened by his touch.

Time is running out.

In seven days, Kane will become what Ayden despises most. She can halt his transformation but the antidote requires the ultimate sacrifice. As the beast takes hold, Kane becomes more of a threat.

Ayden must choose between her lust for revenge, or surrender to her enemy and discover a horrible truth.

Exciting start to this series!

This was an exciting start to this series. The characters were fierce, intriguing, and witty. The setup to this story was a bit slow for me but once it got rolling it only continued to pick up speed and become more exhilarating. It was fast paced and the twists and turns kept me totally engaged. The narrator, Jarman Day-Bohn, did a fabulous job! I loved his voice and the changes he produced for each character were amazing. He made the whole experience more compelling. I must say that even tho I liked many of the characters, Kane Walker was my favorite! He was so funny, kind and genuine. I really enjoyed this thrilling and sexy romance and look forward to more from these sexy Sons of Wrath!

Narration about Lycans, wolves, and demons.

The narrator's ability to impersonate several characters voices was ok. I would have preferred multiple narrators to help assist with the voices of the female characters. Jarman's voice was not suitable for female characters. I'm glad I had an opportunity to listen to the audio version rather than read the book myself. I listened and followed along simultaneously. There were a few mistakes with the use of incorrect words and a few skipped over scenes.

My Thoughts on Soul Avenged

4.5 of 5 stars

There were so many interesting elements to the story that I don't even know where to start. So I'm just going to start with every thing I loved. All of the Wrath demon brothers. I loved Gavin and Logan and Zeke and Calix and I couldn't tell you who I loved more because they were all different but amazing. I loved the plot twists and the fact that I didn't really see who was behind it all and how right away. I loved that it was kind of dark. I'm a fan of that kind of book for sure. After a while even Kane grew on me.

I think the only element I didn't love was Ayden. She never really showed me anything to Love about her until it was too late. I think I spent too much of the story thinking she was so hard and unyielding and I just couldn't connect with her until half the book was read and even then it was slow going.

All that being said it was a fantastic story and I can't wait to listen to more. The narrator was new to me but was fantastic. A great range of different voices for the different brothers.

I loved the narrator!

5 Crazy Ass Must Listen Stars!!!!!

Ok, it has been a while since I have delved into PNR. There was a time when that was all I read, be it The Vampire Chronicles, The Black Dagger Brother Hood, The Sookie Stackhouse, Twilight, Vampire Academy, Vampire Diaries, etc. I devoured them all. Now, I'm feeling the itch again. I blame it all on this book.
Jarmon Day-Bohn is an amazing narrator. The voice changes for all the characters was great and at no time did I get distracted by a female voice sounding "too male" or trying to figure out which character was speaking. He had different voices for them all and made it so easy to get lost in the story. I have found a new favorite narrator.
As you probably noticed from above, my foray into PNR mainly consisted of the vampire realm. There were a couple of werewolf series that I read but I mostly stuck to the bloodsuckers. I went into this blind. I saw a post that Keri had 5 audiobooks and asked who was interested. I've become quite the audiobook whore lately because I can still listen to books while I'm cleaning house, running errands, or cooking dinner so I jumped at the chance. I was gifted the audiobook. I had just started a spring cleaning project and was in need of some entertainment since I had just finished a book. I started listening right away. Immediately, I found the narrator to be entrancing. His voice just entices and sucks you into the story. I was invested way before I knew what the story was about. I did pause at one point to read the blurb because I was confused. After reading the blurb, that cleared up so I powered on. I was so into the story, I dreamt about it last night. I dreamt that I was part of their team searching for Lycans.
Now I need the other books. I need to know what happens next. Keri Lake, you've created a book whore monster. Heck who am I kidding? I have no self-control when it comes to books. I want them all and I want the rest of this series. When will the other books be released on audio? I hope the same narrator will be used.
