Suspenseful & Sexy

I read haunting & hunting Adeline so when I heard about this book I bought it without even reading a summary. This book has suspense and some sexy ass scenes that makes you wanna go on baecation lol! There are some triggers regarding SA so please be aware. I fell in love with Enzo immediately even though Sawyer could be quite annoying sometimes it didn’t stop me from enjoying their dialogue together. Stranded in a light house with a creepy man? Check. Ghosts haunting said lighthouse? Check. Smut scenes so sexy you’ll need a towel to sit on? DOUBLE CHECK!

Not for everyone

First of all, the narrators are amazing. Actually, they made this... book... bearable. I'm going to return it. It can be triggering for people who hate violence in intimate relationships. The story reminded me of some "passionate" movies from the 60s and 70s, the cringe worthy ones.

Great romance and suspense!

The background of all the characters is dark but all are told well with their own depth. Wish I could find another book like it.

Does It Hurt is an enemies to lovers, dark romance that I could not put down. I loved the mysterious, suspenseful, creepy element added to this story. It was a well-paced tale that flowed seemlessly from one chapter to the next and will take you on an emotional roller-coaster ride.

Filled with lies, betrayal, secrets, twists and turns and sizzling steamy scenes this novel took us on an intense and explosive journey with Enzo and Sawyer. These two were complex characters and as the story progressed and details were revealed we get the full scope of their complexity.
I also loved seeing how their relationship evolved throughout the story and the character growth especially Sawyer's was impressive.

The author did a great job with the hate relationship between these two and because of this their spicy scenes were next level in this book.
This novel was well written, unique, thrilling and unforgettable. I loved it and would highly recommend it to lovers of dark romance.

I listened to the audible version of this novel and Michelle Sparks and Troy Duran did an absolutely amazing job telling the story. Their voices were clear and understandable and they complimented each other perfectly. They really brought the story to life and it was a pleasure listening to them narrate this novel.
