Seekers control the elemental forces of the world and must climb the World Tree for ultimate power. Dren, a ragtag thief from a dystopian world, is dropped into a land teeming with gods, monsters, magical creatures, and more.

Dren has nothing. He’s tenacious. And charming. Yep, that’s about it. But pluck can only get you so far when gods collide.

I couldn’t put this down and listened all day. Great characters, interesting story and fantastic narration all made this an amazing listen.

A great mix of LitRPG and sci-fi!

great fantasy and new story... the magic capability is a little vague, abs power level is open to interpretation pretty often... but especially the choice acting is fantastic

So damn good...

There’s definitely some fun to be had with this book—and Michael Kramer does a stellar job as always—but the writing feels unpolished and under edited. Character attitudes and motivations are wildly inconsistent, concepts are often explained two or even three times in a row, and characters often repeat information to each other that the reader has already heard.

The world is fun and well thought out, the systems are mostly internally consistent, and the dialog—when used appropriately—is fairly well written. That’s said, the pop culture references feel forced and pull me out of the story. This book is about one solid rewrite and a few editing drafts away from being really good.

Fun, but frustrating.

I loved this book and can’t wait for more.
The characters are endearing and i can’t wait to see how to progress throughout the story.
The world set is amazing starts off somewhat limited but it gives you glimpses of something much bigger.
The powers are cool as hell and I want to see more of them.

The power scaling did feel a bit off at times but nothing major that ruined my fun with it.

MAX is amazing. That is all.

Great new adventure

I enjoyed the concept of Dren and Vox being genetically modified and it having an effect on their stats in a world with a ranking system. One minor complaint is the moments where they explain a spell in midst of heated exchanges, felt like it broke up the intensity for an explanation that the reader should by now understand. Overall, a really enjoyable book!
