Publisher's Summary

You are mine. I am yours. And it's going to be like that for the rest of our lives.

Taken at the age of eight, Grace Salva withstood torture and pain. Silent for nearly 10 years, she is yet to find her voice again, when a one night's chaos allows her to escape...only to end up in the strong arms of a dangerously beautiful alpha.

From the moment James sees her, both the wolf and the man are keen to claim her. But James knows better. He needs to convince her that he is nothing like the savage rogues that exploited her. He has to gain Grace's trust, and for him to do that, he needs to know more about her. But how hard can it be to hear and understand her silence?

Scared and untrusting at first, Grace finally learns what it means to be the mate of her strapping yet gentle savior, while battling with her own insecurities and fear of the new normal that is completely different from the horrifying life she once lived.

James gives Grace more than a sanctuary for her to heal her wounds and recover; he has given her a home, hope, and a chance to start anew. But in his pursuit to uncover Grace's mystery, will James push too far and bring back a painful past and lead her to the very monster who tormented his mate?

Can Grace trust James with her life even after the betrayal of someone she considered as family?

Follow James and Grace's journey to overcome the demons of the past and the danger of the future to get a second shot at life and love.

Great romantic read

Loved it! Audible version is good. Might shorten the ending a bit but otherwise if this is a first book she did a fantastic job. Waiting to see what comes next!

Narrator is not good

I had to put the speed at 1.75 just to try and get through the book. The story drags and repeats the same things and it is not what I expected. I do not like to write bad reviews but I am very disappointed in this one. Would not recommend this book.

WELL DONE

On of the best werewolf romances (short story) I have found since "My Miracle Luna". This story has so much more of a sense of reality by the way her bpdy is coping and dealing with her trauma and James sounds incredible. Wish it were real. Excellent.

What a disappointing story and ending

struggled with finishing this book. first the reader read like a child not much to hold your attention then the story itself was a little interesting but the ending made the whole story feel rushed or unfinished I would skip this book unless she makes a part 2 to finish up loose ends

Love/Hate

I don’t normally do these so bear with me.
I love the story.
I think it would be better with a male and female narrator or just someone who can do the male/female voices better.
I hate the end. I won’t spoil it for anyone but the end to me it is not a HEA to me a HEA is more than them just being with the dude they should get more. I would still recommend the story because it’s good just the ending sucks.

ok

The middle of the story is good. The beginning and end seem to drag. At some points the narrator talks very slow.

Ending was a let down

I really liked the concept behind this story. The overall all idea was a great one. The story ran out of gas at the end. The ending was such a let down. If a story is going to end be it sad or happy explain why. I honestly thought I missed some chapters with the way it ended. There was no resolution for many side characters. The two main characters ending was so disappointing. I looked to see if there was a book 2 so I could get a little closure.
I wouldn’t say don’t read it because the story idea was very good but be prepared to be unfulfilled at the end.
The narrator was ok. The male speaking parts were a rough. I also felt she floated back and forth between a kid like and adult voice for the main heroine. That was distracting.

BAD REVIEWS ARE WRONG

The author and the narrator did an amazing job. some errors, but the author understands the ups and downs of a survivor. Semi triggering, but in a more positive way.

it was ok

I felt like I was always waiting for more. I feel that near the end The author started but didn't quite finish The concept or thought process. I hate it when I finish reading a book book and Have to ask the question, what happened to a person or couple.

ok

the alpha was the the woosiest and least self confident alpha i've ever read, with occasional anger management issue.
female was a flake and probably had a serious underlying medical problem with half the chapters ended in either her blacking out or falling asleep and i kept expecting the her to be diagnosed with a neural problem.
narrator did a good job.
