Would you consider the audio edition of Wine. All the Time. to be better than the print version?

I thoroughly enjoyed the audio book, but having a hard copy would be handy. The author is highly entertaining, and there is a lot of interesting information for a long-time wine lover, but new to trying to become a wine connoisseur.

    "Hipster Wineguide"

The book was really just ok. Her information was great for a newbie to the world of wine. It was well thought out but the performance was a bit over the top with her "I'm super chill about wine (and weed) attitude." It was hard to take much of her advice seriously.
Quick, easy listen for a weekend.

    "Love it!"

straight forward and approachable! Marissa will help you be less afraid of wine and miss pronouncing words! And even if you're already pretty well versed, you'll enjoy her sense of humor and relaxed take on wine. I ordered the paperback too! Can't wait to go through her suggested wines and "homework".

    "Loved it! Just one caveat"

Great information and performance by the author. It was so much fun to listen to and learn from. I'll be on the look out for her next book and buy it happily. However, this audiobook needs a supplemental PDF. Ross gets into a lot of terminology, distributors, etc... It's valuable information and I would love to have it with me next time I'm shopping for wine. This information in a PDF form would make a great resource. I hope the publishers consider adding that on.

    "Not your mamma's Wine Education"

This book is such an approachable Wine Education. It is snarky and funny, yet very informative and a guide you will go back to as a wine bible over and over. I learned about many wines I was terrified to try before because I have an imaginary allergy to sweet wines, no matter what spicy dish you serve it with. I go to the same restraints because I have faith in my waters to recommend an amazing wine to go with whatever special they are serving that day. This book has armed me with a better idea to help me pick some of my own wines with my meal and the freedom to try new restaurants! I loved this book and the delivery of the subject. It was funny with great movie, music and life experience references to help you visually wrap your brain around her experiences and opinions of the different wines throughout her life so far! Highly recommend book and drinking more great wine with no fear!

"Love Her Reviews of Wine / This Wasn't A Review"
Where does Wine. All the Time. rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This didn't really translate well into an audiobook. I enjoyed it. But this would have been better if I had the hard copy infront of me. All the new words, need to see these things.

Who was your favorite character and why?

    Marissaaaaa!!!

    Which scene was your favorite?

No scene. Her jokes are the best.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yassssss!

    Any additional comments?

Her reviews are better. She should just compile all of her reviews, her song lyric accompaniments... she's meant for something more than the page. But her writing isn't bad at all.

    "A Millennial's Whine About Wine"
What would have made Wine. All the Time. better?

LESS profanity, sarcastic put-down one liners. and crude humor.

Has Wine. All the Time. turned you off from other books in this genre?

No! I've purchased other books about wine from Audible, but this particular book was was not enjoyable or inspiring. The author was the perfect choice. Who better then a self adsorbed millennial reading a novel about herself and her endless binges of cheap bottles of wine. It seemed every paragraph written by Marissa A Ross had gratuitous profanity that only got in the way of the content of her book. The author thought that crude humor with the “F” bomb dropped throughout her book made it funny. I would say sarcastic and vulgar humor had the opposite effect. The author seemed to enjoy hearing her own voice and thinking her brand of humor was entertaining. In short, I found the over all tone of the performance annoying and offensive.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Marissa A. Ross?

A better performance and book about wine would be Julian Curry “A Guide to Wine”. His book is full of content and addresses the same subject matter Marissa A. Ross tried to convey in her book. Where she fell short, Julian Curry's performance and book presented the same material in a clear professional way WITHOUT vulgar humor and profanity littered diatribes.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Marissa A. Ross’s book had no redeeming qualities! The information found in her book can be found in other books written by better authors without sarcastic humor.

    Any additional comments?

If you enjoy inspiring books about wine and information relating to wine, this book is not for you. I would suggest giving Julian Curry’s “A Guide to Wine” a try. BE WARNED! If you are a young, politically correct, snowflake millennial you will have a melt down and may need a safe space to suck your thumb. The author is an old white guy with a British accent.
