Absolutely excellent

Well written. I know many women that have or is going through similar circumstances will see themselves. It will give them inspiration to continue to live and hope. To never give up no matter how hopeless. Also, to know that the most important thing to find true happiness within, lays within themselves. Excellently written and difficult not to listen through to the end in one sitting.

Internal strength and Faith

I was a little confused in the beginning with the insects. Then it was evident of the perspective. The end explained the why which I completely understood. The firefly had personal strength inside her to survive this turbulent ride.

My firefly

Was hard listen to, it made my heart ache. Her mother was the worst insect of them all.

Sad.

The first half of the book was hard to listen to but you felt her sadness and grief.
It must have been a horrible childhood.

the point of view is new

For such a despicable subject, the book was done very tastefully. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the subject.

Called from the aspect of the house she lived in

The book was a bit confusing to me at first, and then, after doing some research, I realized that the story is told from the viewpoint of the house she lived in, and each character had an insect name. It was definitely a weird book, although the memoir was really good!

Heartbreaking

The story started out very confusing, but once I realized the book was written in the view of her house (I think it's her soul, deep down), I couldn't stop listening. Her story was one of the worst I've heard. I'm proud of her for telling her story, I know it wasn't easy. The narration was good as well.

Interesting!

I’ve never read a book quote like this, being told from the perspective of someone other then the child being hurt. Having a story told from an outsiders perspective, aka, the house, was very creative!
