Featured Article: The Most Stellar Sci-Fi Authors of All Time

Science fiction is a genre as diverse as you can imagine. There are stories that take place in deep space, often depicting teams exploring or running away from something; stories that focus on life at the most cellular level, such as a pandemic tale; and stories that take place in times that feel similar to our own. Depicting themes of existentialism, philosophy, hubris, and personal and historical trauma, sci-fi has a cadre of topics and moods.

About the Performer

Listener favorite and multiple award-winning narrator Ray Porter continues his out-of-this-world partnership with Dennis E. Taylor, delivering an epic performance while giving voice to a parade of characters. He has performed more than 300 books across many genres and was named an Audible Narrator of the Year in 2015.

Five Stars Squared!

The team of Dennis E. Taylor and Ray Porter have again delivered audiobook good!

The Singularity Trap , penned by Taylor and voiced by Porter is a new hard sci-fi Audible exclusive release. The story incorperates first contact, nanotechnology, military conspiracies, interstellar conflict and more all wrapped in the warm quilt of Taylor-Porter fun and frivolity.

I've been patiently waiting for this release and have not been disappointed.

I wish I could give this five stars squared!

I was hoping for more Bobiverse...

... but found a wonderful new world.

Taylor is fast becoming one of my favorite sci-fi authors.

Taylor and Porter are a perfect match.

A Fantastic Journey

I would recommend this novel to all my friends. Dennis E. Taylor has done a fantastic job of weaving the tale. Ray Porter’s narration was excellent.
The conflict of the story was handled masterfully and continued to surprise and entertain. Dennis found innovative ways to avoid the traps of the stereotypes and tropes of the post human genre.
If I have any complaints about this book it would be that multiple characters throughout use some of the same idioms such as “Shiny”. I’m a fan of Firefly and assume the the term originated in a popular fashion from there and therefore appreciate the terms usage but find it a little too frequently used in multiple places to be believed as a societal speech destination. A minor complaint.
Read This Book.

More please?

Dennis Taylor has done it again. a different universe from the Bob's, but just as compelling a story. A great story on its own, but also could be an awesome start to a new series. I'll listen to anything this team puts out!

Enjoyable

I started the book and wasn’t sure I liked it. I got distracted by another series and came back to it after. It was funny how much I enjoyed it. It had to do with me Not the book. I was real busy and didn’t give it the time to engage with the characters. Once I did I really enjoyed it. I plan to look for other books by this author.

Taylor hits another one out of the park.

I couldn't put this audio book down just like I couldn't put down Dennis Taylor's first three Bob books. The narrator is awesome with his ability to bring Dennis characters to life is amazing.

Wish there was a 6 star rating option

The story fun, performance flawless. Well worth the credit.

The audio enhancements were what put it over the top for me. Great job on this one!
