not much here

I know I gave the story three stars. It's the least necessary book of the series, if you look at it on its own. There are seeds planted -- Rick's change in situation, a new Evangelina, and more build-up with the relationship between Bruiser and Jane -- but there is a lot of extra material.

The mystery behind Magnolia Sweets goes on for too long. You are left wondering which plot piece supersedes the other. Should we focus on Bruiser and Evangelina and her magic? Is the coming out of the weres the most significant? And where is Leo? He's almost nonexistent.

Jane Yellowrock is the best!

What made the experience of listening to Mercy Blade the most enjoyable?

I love Jane's character!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Mercy Blade?

The most memorable for me was when "beast meets were-cat."

What does Khristine Hvam bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Khristine Hvam is a master! Her voice is perfect for Jane, and she is very adept at the various accents of the residents of New Orleans.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Beast is Back!

Any additional comments?

The entire concept of Jane Yellowrock is so fascinating--I'm just sorry there are not more at this time. I want to say "Write faster!"

Really Good

The story and narrator are good. I like that the narrator is easy to listen to and is the same throughout the series. The story line is interesting and has great possibilities. Can't wait to start the next book.

Have Mercy

I’m still not sure how to react to the craziness and chaos of this book. Seriously, talk about some crazy snit... and our poor Janey is right in the thick of it.

The werecats have come out of the liter box and everyone is on pins and needles to see how the world sees them. There is a summit ahead to have talks between the werecats and vampires. Who are takingnpeace between beings.

Not to be left out, werewolves have decided to come out of the woods and poop in Leo’s territory. Not only are they trying to start a war of their own, they’ve target Leo and his house. Things get dicey and at times I was repeating “what the what?” over and over again. When I wasn’t laughing or yelling at the book.

These characters make me mental at times and then I want to hug them other times. Dang vampires...

Jane continues to be force to be reckoned with

I like the Jane Yellowrock series and this book has the high standards I would expect from the author as well as the narrator.
Frequently urban fantasy becomes a romance novel with supernatural elements thrown in. This book does not, sure there is the obligatory love interest but it does not overpower the story unlike some other authors have done. I enjoy the Native American lore entwined into the story. Well Done.

Keeps getting better!

I have loved the Jane Yellowrock series so far. Hunter is a great author, and the stories have reached higher heights with every new book! This book puts Jane in a sticky situation in regards to who is her true friends are who may not be, and it is fun to see how she plays it out. Some new characters, and some of the old stand-by's. Khristine Hvam is a truly talented narrator, and perfect for this series! Can't wait for the next on!
