not much here

I know I gave the story three stars. It's the least necessary book of the series, if you look at it on its own. There are seeds planted -- Rick's change in situation, a new Evangelina, and more build-up with the relationship between Bruiser and Jane -- but there is a lot of extra material.

The mystery behind Magnolia Sweets goes on for too long. You are left wondering which plot piece supersedes the other. Should we focus on Bruiser and Evangelina and her magic? Is the coming out of the weres the most significant? And where is Leo? He's almost nonexistent.

Reader still falling down on the job..

Okay, now instead of ARK-in-new for the name Arceneaux,, she's pronouncing it Are-CHIN-new. Hmmmm.... instead of being from Louisiana, he's now from China or Japan? It's Are-sin-oh. Thank goodness the next in the series takes place in North Carolina.

Another great in the Jane Series

Would you listen to Mercy Blade again? Why?

No, but only because I have too many in my Wish List to repeat a book. I never look back.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Gee. Read it and you'll see.

Which character – as performed by Khristine Hvam – was your favorite?

Ooooo....Leo or Bruiser. I actually really appreciate her ability to do the voices and everything.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Neither....but I ALREADY have book 4 queued up and read to go. Finished this book about 3 hours ago!!!

Any additional comments?

This isn't the best in the series....I think book 1 still has that trophy, but this whole series has been an awesome adventure into the world of "Legs". I wish...silly to say....that given all the pent up "energy" Jane and Beast have, that they got to explore that a little more with Rick and....maybe the sensual Bruiser as well. Maybe book 4 takes us down that path a little more.

Good Hunter, good story!

Would you listen to Mercy Blade again? Why?

Yes, I like the story and characters

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jane rocks.

What does Khristine Hvam bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I like the way she reads Beast.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes, if I could.

Any additional comments?

I do wish Khristine would check her pronunciation on some words. She consistently mispronounces Heraldic. Its not Herald-ick, its Hair-all-dick. Other than that, she has a very pleasant voice and good pacing.

Big cat- keeps getting better

I wasn't sure after listening to the first book in the Jane Yellowrock series but I like to give new to me authors a chance and I'm so glad I did.
By this the 3rd book the characters now feel like old friends and I'm loving the way we learn a bit more about all the main characters with each instalment.
I think the narrater does an excellent job, really love her "beast".

Jane yellow rock ROCKS!

What did you love best about Mercy Blade?

I found it exciting that a beautiful and sexy woman would play the role of a hardened contract killer.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, this was a book that I listen to for hours at a time. And I look forward to getting in my car to go anywhere. All I really wanted was to finish listening to the story.

Any additional comments?

I have put her entire series into my wish list. I am hooked, and I want to hear every story available.

Jane Yellowrock my hero!

What did you love best about Mercy Blade?

I love these stories! Jane is the strong kick butt kind of woman I would love to be. She has a "big cat" inside that helps and sometimes hinders her, depending on her mood. I love the story and the story teller. I keep coming back for more.
