Perfect classic fantasy
Cosy, classical yet original fantasy world and story. A pleasure to listen to.
Cudo to the depiction to what's going on inside the characters, especially teenage boys.

Great author good reading
I have read the reviews of other listeners and found the negative reviews about Mr. Joyce quite unfair. I enjoyed his reading of this book

but its bossible to turn up the pace. I used 1.10 speed and then listening was better.

Peter Joyce is fantastic
Although the story has become somewhat a cliche over the years, Peter Joyce alone makes the listening worthwhile.
Highly recommend as it is one of the most classic books in the fantasy genre
