Publisher's Summary

First title of a classic trilogy brought back into print - and now audio!

When the leader of the Silvanesti elves dies, conflict threatens to drive his sons apart. While Sithas wishes the elves to withdraw more and more from any contact with other races, Kith-Kanan and his Wildrunners forge connections and trade goods with the humans of Ergoth.

As the world of Krynn watches, a new elven nation rises from the strife.

After all this time

Where does Firstborn rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It has to at least rank in the top ten

What other book might you compare Firstborn to and why?

Dragons of Winter Night. They both are gripping with sad endings. Then again I am an Empire Strikes Back man....

Which scene was your favorite?

The odd fate of Kith's wife

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes

Any additional comments?

If you are new to the series or old fans like me returning after nearly two decades this is a must have for any one who loves a good Fantasy.

Very monotone narrator

It was difficult to get “into” the audiobook. The voice of the narrator was monotone so made it difficult for my brain to be engaged.

It's a great read but nothing like the description

It's a very good book.
You can feel yourself live in this fantasy world. btw: it's weird when a book makes you dislike humans but also a lot of other races, all of them being racist😔.
Totally believable though.
