Really Entertaining

Best Science Fiction series. Lots of plot twists and super relatable characters. Love how the career progression of each character was developed, yet Baldwin was stilnthe main character.

unique story elements

Was looking for a long listen and I enjoy Space Opera so I gave Baldwin a try. Overall the story is good and the performance is good as well. Had some unique story elements such as the XO being a paralyzed woman whose mind is uploaded into an andriod and Ship AI with a human's memory uploaded (former ship Captain). Did a good job on the villian plots connecting throughout the books and actually had a few redemptions in the end (doesn't happen much in space/military stories). Will certainly listen through this story again in a few months.

Great story with characters that were fully developed. The story was kept clear across multiple settings. I would like to see Baldwin's character in a sequel.

Fun ride, hampered eventually by grammar?

I really want to like this, but as a hat-wearing proofreader/copyeditor, I'm struggling with homoform, homophone, and other adjacent errors, particularly in the 2nd half of the book arc. Please, I beg of you, pay attention to your editors. Also, … quand c'est en Français… c'est Français, pas Franglais, merci au raconteur! :-)

Fun journey with twists and turns. Very good pace, very good character development, and great story line. Great read!

The Boxed Set was a great deal! Really Enjoyed.

I took a chance on this and got the whole box set. It was a great value as I really enjoyed the whole series. Very few flaws in the story logic. Can't say that about most TV shows and movies.
Of course if it were not for some amazing luck and timing, most of the main characters would be dead. But I kinda think that is the point in many books. That luck is somewhat predictable sometimes, but not an issue for me.

The books have very good wrap ups and breaks between them and when you get to last one...really has a nice wrap up to the series. Not so sure how well they would stand on their own in any other order....I think it would for sure be best to start from the beginning.

I likes how the AI was handled with some nice thought provoking tie ins with the android body technology that was a seperate part of story and different technology. However that does remind me of one technology issue I had with the story. There seemed to be a secret(?) technology that allowed the communication between the brain and android body that even worked through wormholes when no other communication technology worked???? Why could they not utilize that technology more if they really had that? That was a flaw to the story that I do not think was ever explained unless I missed it. One other thing that I noticed is that sometimes the fuel for jumping was hard to get and other times it seemed plentifull. Not really explained. Guess you can assume there were supply chain issues??

Really liked the character of the Dr that had to wear gloves. Liked many of the characters actually. The reader did a good job with character voices with only some of the time I was not sure who was talking right away. Most of the time I could tell.
