Deserving of all the stars!

This story... this audio was well worth the wait! When C.D. Reiss & Elena Wolfe collaborate you already know it's going to be something special, fierce and emotional and boy does this audio deliver! For a lover of all things Drazen this story was long overdue. Margie Drazen is the female lead we root for, not just because of what she has gone through, but because in many ways she represents many of us keeping our on happiness in a back burner while we take care of others. It was time Margie got her side of the story told as well as being able to get closure and a reprieve from what haunted her for so long. It was also a treat being able to experience what happened to the family through her eyes as having read Forbiden, Submission and Corruption Series. Elena Wolfe really captured Margie's essence. Her strength, vulnerability, her angst and her constant struggle was palpable and the narration has such an intimate quality to it! I was enthralled and completely blown away.

Sinfully Awesome!

I can't say how much I really enjoyed this book. the series is so worth 📚! knowing Margie's story, wow what can I say, (" just breathe ") I couldn't but it down. the last few chapters of the book..... not sure if I had tears of sadness or joy, got so emotional, ( sign of a good story!) people around me were asking if I'm ok, do I need help. at that point I closed my eyes blinked away my tears, and said I just need to finish this book.

Finally some resolution with Margie’s story and a few more answers

The answers to Jonathan’s paternity, who’s heart he has and how Margie became the family fixer. This is part 2 of her story but the duet is being bundled soon and both parts need to be read together. Well written with only a few slow parts and a lot of drama, emotion, plotting, and surprisingly only a little well deserved hot sex. Lots of hints of the other family members stories- Jonathan of course, but also Teresa, Fiona, and Carrie. Not so much on the other sisters but maybe in the future their stories will be developed? Some things also were left opened ended such as if or when Margie and Indie come clean to Jonathan about his rare blood, his parentage, and who’s heart he has which plaques him in Coda. Also what happens in Declan’s trial, and whether Margie and Indie get a chance to have the family they deserved and were considering before Margie was manipulated into becoming the family fixer. Late life pregnancy, frozen eggs, or surrogacy & IVF are possibilities given how much they missed, and were Strat and Drew unknowingly half brothers given their shared childhoods, which could provide more answers? In any case, this is a great story and essential to the Drazen series but more of their story could be told; the ending is a tease that seems a bit unfinished.

The narration was excellent but not unexpected give Elena Wolfe was the narrator. My preference is usually for dual narration or duets or full cast but is this case the single narrator worked well. Well worth the credit though the bundle of her story would be better.

What an ending!

So glad I finished Margie's story and it was difficult but extremely worth it! The Drazen family stories are a fast read, grab you from the start and very hard to put down, loved this and highly rec The Spin Series or Teresa's story.

So credit worthy!

This book destroyed me and put me back together over and over. But... This second book is actually rushed in my opinion. Too many things were happening too fast. One chapter was a span of many years. I needed it to slow down and give me more substance, not just facts. But overall I loved it! I want more stories of the siblings.

Intense!

This is another great series by CD Reis. The 2nd book in particular is intense. The 1st book is a little lighter with its moment moments of intensity but both books are very very good. I love the narration and the storyline has so many twists and turns you don't really know where it's going next.

I’ll miss this family.

Though the whole family had issues I will say I’ll miss them. Though Margie got what she deserved I really wish it was a bit longer. I still have so many questions I need answered.

Margie was the glue that held the family together, so many sacrifices she’d made to make up for her negligent parents mistakes.

I wish they would have told Jonathan even though I understand why they never did.

Anyway, if you’re thinking of reading their stories don’t skip, even when it feels like it’s not worth it. Skipping will cause you to miss something when you conclude with Margies story. It’s all worth the credits.

To the Author: you did an amazing job stringing these stories along. My only wish is that you would have told us Carries story. I could care less about Declan.

Oh Margie...again!

The second part of Margaret Drazen’s story is awesome because she kicks butt and takes names and I love everything about her. She’s brilliant and resilient and such a formidable woman she inspires me and I’m sure that’s exactly what the author intended. I don’t want to spoil the experience for other listeners so I don’t want to be too specific but I especially enjoyed the way the last several chapters turned out. Elena Wolfe is one of my favorite narrators and she really brought Margie’s character to life. Congratulations on a job well done.

First book I didn’t finish

Narrator was great. Intrigued by book 1 I tried to finish ... even at speed 1.5 the story slogged along.

I loved this Book

I enjoyed this story of Margaret Drazen (Cin 18 and Margie 29) and Indiana Andrew McCaffrey (Indie 20's and Drew 30's). I enjoyed their journey.
