Publisher's Summary

The new novel from the best-selling author of Wind River Wrangler.

Something to hold on to.

Not so long ago, Reese Lockhart was commanding a company of marines. Now his life is spiraling out of control. The Bar C ranch outside Jackson Hole, Wyoming, may be his last chance to save himself.

Shaylene Crawford, an Afghanistan veteran herself, knows all too well the demons of PTSD - that's why she's determined to turn her family's cattle ranch into a place where wounded warriors can work, find a home, and rebuild their souls. Her embittered father nearly drank and gambled the place away, but with help from a small crew of vets - including the newest arrival, the quietly compelling Reese Lockhart - she intends to hold on to her dream. And when someone tries to destroy that dream, Reese will do whatever it takes to defend her.

Wind River Rancher

Worse book I've ever listened to. Whoever read the book, their voice was horrible! Almost sounded the same for each character, I had a hard time figuring out who was talking. Get another reader!

The first 5 or so chapters all sounded like the same thing over and over and over! I was never so tired of hearing how he was half a man after leaving the military. Couldn't to this, wouldn't do that, blah blah blah. In the end, HE DID!!!

Book was just boring to me. By the way, my husband served 25 years and he did leave a better man!

WIND RIVER BOOK 2

What did you like most about Wind River Rancher?

THIS IS THE SECOND BOOK IN THIS SERIES AND WHAT I LIKE ABOUT IT IS THAT IT DEALS WITH THE PEOPLE WHO ARE NOW NOT IN THE ARMED FORCES .

Who was your favorite character and why?

I LIKED ALL THE CHARACTERS THEY CAME TO LIFE ON THE PAGE

Would you listen to another book narrated by Johanna Parker?

NO I DO NOT LIKE JOHANNA PARKER SHE HAS A VERY WHINNY VOICE AND I FIND IT HARD TO CONCENTRATE ON THE STORY .

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

AS I SAID I LISTENED TO THIS BOOK IN ONE SITTING AS I FIND IT HARD TO LISTEN TO BECAUSE OF THE VOICE TELLING THE STORY

Any additional comments?

I LIKE LINDSAY MCKENNA I HAVE READ MOST OF HER BOOKS BUT LISTENING TO HER BOOKS IS ANOTHER MATTER BECAUSE I CANNOT STAND THE WHINNY VOICE OF THE NARRATOR SO I MAKE TIME TO LISTEN TO THEM IN ONE SITTING AS I HAVE TO CONCENTRATE ON THE STORY

Simplistic

While Johanna Parker was at her usual best I found the storyline oversimplified and repetitive. Sorry, Lindsay but I'm not inspired to read another of your books.
