The first book in a brand new western romance trilogy from number one New York Times best-selling author Linda Lael Miller!

For outsiders, Painted Canyon, Montana might simply be a picturesque western town, but for rancher and horse trainer Cord Hollister, it's meant salvation. Mama Mia again

Ms. Miller is an outstanding writer no doubt. This is a very adult story and I fear I am way old-fashioned for the story. How does a person with any moral values sleep with three young men and not see anything wrong . Along comes the fruit of these unions . A young woman who also does not have a problem with her mother's behavior. Who is blissfully happy to pick any one of these men to be her dad. The whole premise is distasteful to me .The writing was great all the characters basically great .Loved all the animals. I would normally given five stars .But my own sense of morality got in the way .Hated Mama Mia also.I guess I am not adult enough.

Elongated and over wordy

Found this to be monotonous in several places. I ended up skipping through. Somehow I was not invested in these people.

Awkward!

This is definitely not like LLM other books. I've read a lot. The story line was blah and the ending dragged on. The longer it went the more awkward it got, to the point I couldn't even finish. Definitely will not be getting the second book in this series.

So disappointed

I don't know happened here. Who really wrote this? But it is not up to LLM standards. Characters are not fully formed. Shalley is a weird shell, and frankly comes across stalker-ish. There is no relationship development between...well...anyone. Good story, but not well told.

A bit long repetitive and sappy

The general story line is good, but the same phrases or thoughts are repeated many times and it is a bit too sweet.

Country Strong. is not up to her standards

I have read or listen to most of Linda Lael Miller's books. This one is not up to her usual standards. I would not recommend it and am sorry I wasted a credit to get it.

Worst Linda Lael Miller book

This was the most predictable, boring book of Linda Lael Miller’s that I have ever read. All sunshine and roses and predictability through the whole book. I typically just love her books and can’t wait to read them. This changes my impression of her and also the narrator.

Just okay

I usually really like Linda's books but this was hard to finish. Overly sentimental and just plain tacky at times. The middle and end of the book dragged on, I thought it would never end. My least favorite book of hers and I have read most of them.
