    "Good read 👍🏽"

I don't usually read this genre , but I must say I truly enjoyed it. It has a little bit of everything to keep you reading or in my case listening (audio). I will be looking forward to more of Ellie Valentina's books. The narrator Meghan Kelly did an excellent job.

Fantastic story with a great narrator! Plenty of action from the start and a good dose of steam. Highly recommend giving this one a listen. I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

    "A rushed, poorly narrated mess"

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Everything seemed rushed. The plot, character building, the relationship, everything. The premise was great (hokey title notwithstanding), but it utterly failed in execution. The narrator had an inconsistent tonal quality that I kept getting distracted by. Further complicating that was the male voices sound flat and unemotional and old characters, like Ava's mother, are ridiculous, like a caricature of an old crone.

    "Werewolf Assassin and The Werewolf"

“I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.”

Interesting concept..A woman taught to hate werewolves and given a hit list of influential werewolves to kill. The world is aware of werewolves and they are in places of influence which the Resistance is fighting against.
Saved by a werewolf the heroine begins to question all she has been taught and suddenly her life is not what she it was.
I enjoyed the story but the narrator is painful for me to listen to...she has a cadence to every sentence and ends with a drop off. The young female isn’t bad but the mother’s voice is hideous, like some old weird granny. The male lead has an unemotional same tone and strange southern accent. I just don’t care for the way the book is narrated and that is why there are fewer stars. I’m just going to need to avoid this narrator..hate to say it but she makes me want to skip forward and get done with it.

"AN OKAY FIRST IN A SERIES."

I was provided this audiobook through Audiobook Boom at no charge by the narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.

Realistically, it's darn hard to write a truly good book that's narrated in under 6 hours. There's a massive background that's rushed through about Ava and most of it is toward the ending. As far as Chase goes, there's virtually no background revealed other than his parents death. Their relationship begins with a life-saving rescue then separation with neither knowing the other's identity. When they later meet under suspicious circumstances and recognize their past connection, they fall prey to the incredulity of finding one another again. Then the instal-love, quick change of view, self sacrifice... and all the "insta" stuff that a short book needs.

The storyline is very cool. An updated view on the Werewolf culture. They're the good guys saving the world. There were no vampire characters, but this is Book One. So far revealed, Werewolves are keeping humankind safe from the evil Vampires.

Meghan Kelly does a good job in voice variations. She's consistent in keeping the male voices a lower tone.

    ONE THUMB UP!

"More twists than a mountain road"

I wasn't really sure I was going to like this after the first chapter but I was so wrong! The portrayal of werewolfs in this book was interesting and unique, the characters are well developed and easy to connect with. It didn't take much longer before I was hooked and I'm looking forward to reading more books in this series.

Just when I thought I knew what was going to happen, something completely different occurred, I loved the surprises.

I liked the narration, the character voices were well done although sometimes the male voices were too similar. Overall it was smooth and natural, and I really enjoyed it.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher and/or author and/or narrator in exchange for an honest review.

    "I love Shifter stories..."

I received this audiobook free through Audiobook Boom and voluntarily give my unbiased review.

I like the storyline of this book. Because it was short it didn't fully delve into the background of the characters but gave enough to make the ending clear. Meghan Kelly isn't my favorite narrator however I really like her in this one. I don't know why but her voices worked for this cast of characters. Good stuff...

    "The HEAT is ON!"
Would you listen to The HOT Wolf again? Why?

I would put this audiobook back in my rotation to listen to again. I enjoyed this story about an extremely confused female assassin. Her wolf shifter target saves her life and that begins a journey of self discovery for Ava. There is mystery, romance, violence and of course, sex.

What about Meghan Kelly’s performance did you like?

Meghan Kelly did a good job with both male and female voices. She gave each character a different voice to make sure to differentiate between each one.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Ava confronts her past. As I always say, I don't give spoilers, so I won't say more.

    Any additional comments?

    Story
    "Not your typical paranormal romance"

This is an interesting story that blends reality with paranormal fantasy. This world has werewolves that serve a particular purpose in society that require them to be a part of the political framework. The story also involves the paranoia often found in society that includes something that people do not properly understand. The contrast is interesting. That said, while there are werewolves, the basis of the story involves a much more basic form of reality.

Ava Sparks is an assasin and she and her family targets werewolves. They are part of the resistance and their goal is to protect the human race. The story starts with her succeasfully shooting a senator but getting hit by a car in the attempt to escape the ensuing mass hysteria. She is saved by a mystery man and taken to the hospital.

Six months later that mystery man shows up on the top of her hit list and Ava's world slowly unravels at the seams. That which she thought was true turns out to be false and her entire existance is brought to question. All this happens while she falls for her mystery werewolf.

The idea of this book is interesting. The readers are guaranteed a HEA, sex, action, and so on, but there is a lot more to it. Over all, I enjoyed the story and would be curious about what happens next in the series.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
