Publisher's summary

"Okay, so cats don't always land on their feet....

"I know that better than most. Since rejoining the Pride, I've made big decisions and even bigger mistakes: the kind paid for with innocent lives. As the first and only female enforcer, I have plenty to prove to my father, the Pride, and myself. And with murdered toms turning up in our territory, I'm working harder than ever, though I always find the energy for a little after-hours recreation with Marc, my partner both on and off duty.

"But not all my mistakes are behind me. We're beginning to suspect that the dead are connected to a rash of missing human women, and that they can all be laid at my feet - two or four, take your pick. And one horrible indiscretion may yet cost me more than I can bear."

Great Shapeshifter Series!!!

I really liked the Rachel's first book 'Stray', and 'Rogue' was even better. Her characters are so realistic and relevant. The story draws the listener/reader in with it's plots twists and turns. The ending of Rogue really leaves you begging for the next book in the series.

A good second book

I really liked this 2nd book in Rachel Vincents Werecat series. This book moved fast and had some twists and turns that I didn't predict.

Fun read

Would you listen to Rogue again? Why?

I would probably read this again at some point in the future.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

One thing that bothered me is how the narrator pronounced "Metarie," which is part of the great New Orleans area. She pronounces it as "Meh-TARE-ee," but it's pronounced "Met-ah-ree."

Wonderful

This book kept me wanting to hear more! I'd be disappointed when I had to stop listening to it. The narrator was very good at having different voices and great with accents! can't wait to read the rest of the series!!!

Faith gets it from her momma!

The high school-ish relationship angst aside, this was a great adventure. Rule breakers and interesting new twists made it very exciting. I loved that Faith discovers that there are many layers to her mother in this book. I still don`t care for all the emotional relationship drama, but other than that, I really enjoyed the book.

These Big Cats are More Than Fluff

I like an occasional shifter book if it's well done. It doesn't seem like there are all that many novels featuring big cat shifters, though. To me, that makes this series a bit unique, along with being well written and intriguing. These beasts aren't just werewolves in different packaging. They live, think, exist, and thrive differently than the other shifters. They do, however, share one common trait: they have their wild side complete with claws, fangs, and their ability to take down a human with no trouble at all... and they hide in plain sight.

As with the first book of the series, these characters continue to fascinate me. They're very well done, and the intricate plot moves along at the speed of a hungry jungle cat chasing down dinner. The story line in this book moved our favorite pack into figurative territory they never wanted to be in. They've got rough terrain to traverse and tough decisions to make. Fayth and her bull-headed reactionary personality continues to create tough times not only for her, but those around her--and her shenanigans are wearing thin with some. That would be okay if it were the only problem they're dealing with....

Rogue, Werecats, Book 2

I kinda enjoyed the first book in this series and decided to try another one. I'm not sure if it was worth it or not. Some of it was fun, but I have trouble with the main character. I decided this is the last of the series I will read, since I just can't tolerate the story being wrapped around a spoiled brat. It's hard for me to believe the story when you have this loose cannon of a character that supposedly is extremely important, but who is allowed to misbehave and act so immature. If one grew up in this type of situation, I don't think they would turn out to be a flighty brat and I just can't listen to that character any more.

Improvement Over the First Book

I remember being slightly underwhelmed with the first book in this series but thinking that I should stick it out because I loved the Soul Screamers series (still one of my favorite series). And I was right. This book was much better than the first book. I liked Faythe so much more in Shifters than I had before and just felt her more overall. But, oh, that ending - it's classic Rachel Vincent. I am definitely much more vested in this series and finding out what happens now. Also, Jennifer Van Dyck is a great narrator.

Really like the series, only one thing missing

If you could sum up Rogue in three words, what would they be?

Fun interesting story

What did you like best about this story?

The characters are each strong and interesting on their own.

Any additional comments?

The only thing missing is that the books don't stand alone. You have to keep listening and never get a conclusion. I've enjoyed each book so far.
