Publisher's Summary

The men of Rescue Four are known for two things: for being the best the Williamsport Fire Department has to offer and for their rugged sex appeal. Rescue Four's reputation is carried like a badge of honor among all the men, including Eric "Harvard" Kim. Eric is the unofficial leader of the Rescue Four squad, and with his quiet yet appealing demeanor, he definitely lives up to his squad's playboy ways with the women. That is, until a certain bar owner catches his eye. Eric is hit with a desire so intense and overwhelming he can do little about it except submit to the inferno his desire sparks.

Angela Moore is having the time of her life, having opened her neighborhood bar, Charlie's, a year and a half ago. Neatly positioned between two fire stations, Charlie's is a frequent stop for the firefighters in her city and the women who love to chase after them. Growing up the daughter of a firefighter and the younger sister of one, Angela thought she was immune to their charms, until she finds herself in the cross hairs of Eric's. With eyes as dark as sin and a body built for pleasure, Angela finds herself opening up to Eric unlike anyone she ever has before. Just when the couple think they've made it, tragedy strikes, leaving them wondering if one will even survive.

Contains mature themes.

Always enjoy a little diversity.... great romantic storyline

I loved this book when I read and not listening it reminded me of everything I enjoyed.

The male narrator is SOOO BAD it female voices. He has a nice alpha male voice but he doesn’t match the characters of the story. He is trying way too hard with the vocals. He makes all the characters sound like air head ditzy. That was really hard to get past. Please just stop.
The female voice is much more pleasant.

The storyline is amazing I truly enjoyed really about have descriptive characters outstide was seems the norm or basic.... rarely do we get to visualize characters outside of the blonde hair blue-eyed type . THANK YOU

A painful listen but I finished it.

I struggled to finish this book. Both narrators at times sounded bored while they were talking. I would greatly appreciate if anyone can tell why everything was listed out to the point where it felt like I was listening to a grocery list. I truly don't understand why this was included. I cringed everytime the male narrator did the female voice. The story was ok at best. This will mostly be the only book I listen to in this series and probably by this author.

hot firefighter and cute bar owner

Cute story about two unlikely people with smoking hot chemistry. Kudos to this author for dealing with underlying racism between Asians and African Americans. Eric 'Harvard' Kim is a Korean American firefighter, who has given up his job in finance to become a firefighter...much to the the horror and disapproval of his Korean parents. Then he meets Charlie, owner of the local bar where the rescue squad hangs out...oh and sister of a firefighter at a rival station. The chemistry between these two is palpable and, in spite of Eric's player reputation, the pair begin to date. It takes a while...dealing with a disapproving mother, ex girl friend, etc. but we finally get an HEA. Great job by the narration team, one of which, ZuZu Robinson, is new to me.
