BOOK WAS GREAT BUT THE NARRATOR WAS AWFUL!

What made the experience of listening to Fifty Shades Darker the most enjoyable?

THE STORY ITSELF!

What other book might you compare Fifty Shades Darker to and why?

BARED TO YOU BECAUSE THE STORY LINE IS VERY SIMILIAR

Did Becca Battoe do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

NO SHE DID NOT

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

WISH I COULD HAVE

Any additional comments?

THE BOOK WAS GREAT BUT THE NARRATOR WAS AWFUL. SHE SOMETIMES DID NOT CHANGE VOICES IN BETWEEN CHARATERS AND IT SEEMED THAT SOME OF THE VOICES WERE THE SAME

not quite the hype

Would you try another book from E. L. James and/or Becca Battoe?

Good book but not at all what it was made out to be. Too much foreshadowing.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Good ending kept me listening.

What aspect of Becca Battoe’s performance would you have changed?

She did a great job.

Do you think Fifty Shades Darker needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No.

Book 2

I liked Book 2. The continued love story was more suspenseful and the past of Grey more apparent.

Don't be surprised if you're cancelling plans!

What made the experience of listening to Fifty Shades Darker the most enjoyable?

The story is reeling... You can't help but get sucked in. I ended up cancelling any plans I had in order to allow me to continue reading. It's my 1st romance series I have read, and it certainly didn't let me down. The series was suggested by a friend of mine, and did we ever have conversations.

What does Becca Battoe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

It was great to read about a story based in the area you grew up and still live in. The descriptive detail was reeling and kept you glued to the story!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Definately. I had to cancel plans in order to continue reading.

Narrator isn't that bad... good grief

I'm reading a lot of negative reviews because of Becca Battoe's narration. I agree that in the first book her voice was awful, but it's better in book 2 and book 3. There's no way I'd have been able to get through these books if I were reading them myself... too many distractions. If you let the book keep your attention you barely focus on the narrator at all.

The book its self was really great, as was the previous and as is the next. The biggest problem I had was Ana's tendency to top from the bottom. It drove me a little nuts by the end of the book.
