Two murders have rocked the city of Houston. Are they the work of a serial killer, or is a copycat trying to get away with murder? That is the question facing Special Agent Bethany Sanchez, who is eager for her new assignment in violent crimes but anxious about meeting her new partner. Special Agent Thatcher Graves once arrested her brother, and he has a reputation for being a maverick. Plus, their investigative styles couldn't be more opposite: He operates on instinct while she goes by the book.
When hot leads soon fizzle out, their differences threaten to leave them deadlocked. But an attempt on their lives turns up the heat and brings them closer together, and a third victim might yield the clue that will help them zero in on a killer. This could be the case of their careers...if they can survive long enough to solve it.
Great series. I enjoyed this story of two FBI agents who approach investigations completely different. How these differences made them an even better team. I always enjoy the small glimpses of God in these stories as well. Narrator was outstanding. As always looking forward to more by this author and hope the same narrator is used.
Any additional comments?
Again I thoroughly enjoyed the Christian foundation of this book, the mystery of "who done it", and I really liked the family relationships in this one. Narrator was great again, really enjoy her work!
loved this book. great reading and love the Audible form. thank you for making this available.
The readers did a fantastic job reading it in such a way they pull you into the story.
Beautifully narrated and an an overall lovely Story. I hope I can find more of your books soon . It's so incredible irritating when there's a series I want to take and only half are available in Audible - no use wasting money for half a story
I was barely able to complete the book as the narration for me was torturous. It felt like a voice and inflection suited to a middle school girls type of genre. When you find yourself focusing on how distracting the narration is instead of the actual plot and dialogue that is not a good sign. I would have loved listening to this with a narrator like Roger Mueller. With his reading you lose yourself in the story. The plot was decent but dialogue was weak and often silly & sappy.
Another great listen by this author and narrator. Bethany Sanchez had a tough family history and big problem brother who created havoc between her parents and her. Her new partner Thatcher Graves is hard core and breaks her tough exterior. The killings seem like a bit of hide and seek until they are able to prove her brothers involvement. Lots of action and a good ending without being a spoiler.
I love this author and her storytelling. The suspense keeps me glued to my headphones! I would recommend this book to anyone loving suspense, Christians or someone curious about Christianity, and anyone really.
story kept me rivited the whole way through...it was worth every penny I spent for it. a great mystery book with 2 FBI agents trying to solve a string of murders...seemingly unrelated...before the numbers grew. Thankfully, it is a christian book...with and yet has mystery all the way through. Can not even say which part was my favorite part....I just enjoyed the whole book. If you are looking for a good mystery book from a Christian author, I believe you will enjoy this book!!!
I really liked the story line and it was well written but the narrator was horrible
