Publisher's Summary

Hate mail was one thing. This was quite another.

Radio-talk-show host Eve Reilly is used to backlash from her pot-stirring on-air commentary and interviews. But now it seems a disgruntled listener is resorting to more than angry words to express their displeasure. When a suspicious package arrives on her doorstep, Eve turns to law enforcement for help.

Police Detective Brent Lange can't find any evidence to link the string of unsettling incidents that follows, but he's convinced they're connected. As the harassment grows more menacing, it becomes clear someone wants Eves voice silenced - permanently.

But unless he can track down her elusive foe, the gutsy woman who is willing to take risks for what she believes and who is swiftly winning his heart may not survive.

Delightful and Worth the TIME!!

In reading many good reviews on this author, and this title I will jump on the band wagon of "Thank you for a delightful, insightful, and representative of values many are scared to voice, due to today's social climate"

Let me premise this review by saying, if you want an book that is exciting with clean wholesome values, this author and book have you covered.

I have read many of Irene Hannon's books, and am liking her books more and more. This book is an exciting and fast paced book full of wholesome characters. Her characters may create a conversation in today's social issues, conversations that are important and needed, but it represents a view of values this country (USA), was founded on. For example, our many freedoms, such as speech, right to bare arms and protecting the innocent, social justice etc. Having the hope you can trust each other to make this country better. It was nice to read this in regards to having some of my thoughts and feelings that are represented by the protagonist of this story.

Therese Plummer never fails to enthrall me with her characterizations of each character, she has a smooth flow that keeps one engaged. Thank you again, Therese for helping me feel engaged in the story. Well done!

This book is worth the read and your time.

Point of Danger

A nice touch on contemporary events. There were several twists to this book. I enjoyed the relationship between Eve and her sisters, as well as the light romance. Outstanding narration. Looking forward to more by this author, as always.

Another winner for Ms. Hannon

I enjoyed this book quite a bit. It was fast paced but no so much that character development was lost. I also love that the plot not only explodes but takes a completely different turn.

I also love how Eve was such a strong intelligent woman, who also has a heart of gold.

Soap box

There have only been two of Irene Hannon’s novels I haven’t loved. Unfortunately, this is one of them. This is the first one where I feel like her characters were simply vehicles to express her sentiments on the state of affairs. I typically really appreciate how she has her characters support causes I agree with. This one was just a little over-the-top. Also, the build up of romance with the characters was lacking. Overall, it’s a pretty good listen, especially with Therese Plummer. But this one wasn’t up to Ms. Hannon’s usual standard, which, for me, is quite high. Hopefully the next two in this trilogy can bring it back up.

Terrific read

There are some negative reviews, a couple in particular that I think may be bogus, that state this is book is racist. Not even close to true. There is nothing in this book that is racist. The book reflects current events in an extremely thoughtful way. The main character is smart. Does not do it say stupid things. All of which is very refreshing. I detest stupid, illogical characters and dialogue. In my opinion, the only drawback was the epilogue. I wanted a wrap up on more of the characters in the book. Of course that may be in one of the next books. Overall, a terrific read.

Way too political

Even though I agree with the positions taken on issues discussed in this book, the heavy political undertones of this book made me want to scream. The narrator was the only good part of this book.
