Dark crimes, very good performance, no profanity!

This book has complex, deep characters and a sinister plot with dark crimes. It is so well written. In general I don't listen to books with dark themes, but the focus of this book isn't on the darkness. It is focused on people working through heavy issues and resolving the crimes. The performance is very good. The book is a little longer than I prefer, but I definitely will be reading/listening to more in this series. And it is so nice to listen to a clean book.

Nice start to a new series

First book in a series and I can’t wait to see how theses characters develop going forward. Lots of twist and turns throughout the story, that really keeps you guessing. The narrator is not new to me and I found that she did a good job with this story. I look forward to many more books with these characters.

Good Story

The story kept you interested and it was clean! I only heard one profane word so that was a breath of fresh air. I have been looking for good, clean mystery’s that I can listen to. I love a good mystery but will not listen to profanity.

I couldn't finish. the narrator was just not for me. I struggled with the story but think if I read it I would have mildly enjoyed it.

I don’t know …

This was a continuation of a series and perhaps I should have started with book number one because I was mostly just not following what was going on in the book. It just didn’t hold my interest. But I’m going to go back and find book one if I can and start with that and see if I can bring it all together in my head. Not a bad book, a good performance, but it just didn’t do it for me.

Not for the week of heart

This is one of those books that make you mad and you just want to scream shut UP OR you just want to stop reading and just believe that things like this doesn’t happen but sadly they do and are real.

Poor Narration

The story is okay and could possibly get a lot better. Going to try the other book. In of itself, the plot was interesting. If I could read the story, it would be a lot better. The narrator was terrible. She couldn't distinguish between different men's voices at all. Her man's voice is terrible and the pauses trying to convey various emotions didn't work. I wanted to yell "just read the dang words!!!) If the book hadn't been half decent, I wouldn't have finished it because of the narration. Please pick someone else to narrate. Argh.. Just looked at the next in the series, same narrator. Don't think I'll look at that one.

Bad narration, story not believable, didn’t even finish it.

It’s just not worth the time to read or listen to it so I didn’t bother to finish. Wish I hadn’t wasted money on it.
