"Stand alone but should read others first"

Most stand alone books in series briefly involve or reference previous characters. This book spends 1/2 time on the old characters and there are a lot of them. I felt it detracted from the story because there were so many players who I didn't know and didn't have investment in. The dialogue was prolonged in this way. Wanted more time with the main characters. Should read the other books first

    "superb!"

Marie & Matt's heartfelt story, the news from the rest of the gang, the slow growth & burn, the permanent smile on my face, the anticipation, the truth, the sweetness, the sexiness, the cleverness of this book, the choice of Joy Nash as a narrator... Thank you, Mrs. Reid <3

    "Love the book...not the narration!"

I read the book when it first came out. Loved it. When I needed books for my long daily commute I chose Penny's books to listen to. This one is driving me crazy though! The narrator is calling one of the ladies Sondra throughout, yet her name is Sandra. It is so annoying. So that plus the weird accents are bugging me. I get that this is a different narrator then some of the others, but goodness couldn't there be some consistency?

"The science behind the perfect match."

I think the Knitting in the City series is perfect for audio. I never struggle to stay focused and I'm captivated from start to finish. Dating-ish was a fascinating study into feelings, emotions and robotics. Can artificial intelligence replace human connection? Are we able to receive the right affection and connection from something that says the right thing every time? Is it a good thing to be satisfied with your wants and desires all the time? You can't help but question what we all accept as the right way? Maybe it is time to find alternative ways to gain satisfaction and connection.

Again, I was overwhelmed with emotions while listening to Dating-ish. Penny Reid writes amazing and original characters that you can't help but love.

The narrator does a fantastic job, but I admit that some of the accents were a bit annoying.

I love Penny Reid's love stories. While the characters are original, quirky and different they're also relatable. I like them and enjoy reading about their love and adventures.

This was definitely a slow burn romance but when we got to the juicy parts they were HOT!!

Loved Dating-ish so much that I'm going back to the beginning and trying out the narrated version for the previous ones I have read.

    "A Stupendous and Entertaining Read!"

Penny Reid is such a great writer and storyteller. She creates wonderful, memorable, quirky characters but which are like anyone else you find on the street around you. We are all quirky and memorable in our own way and it's great how Penny Reid brings that to life. Joy Nash is great in the Winston Brothers Series and I am quite used to her narration for those characters. I was hesitant about her narration of Marie but I liked her portrayal a lot. She brought Marie to life, all the vulnerabilities, quirks and hilarity of the characters. I could have gone for Jennifer Grace or Cielo Carmago, but appreciate the consistency of Joy Nash for this one. Thank you!

    "Perfect addition that's beautifully read"

So I read this first in tree-book, then e-book and now on audio. On each reading I found different things I'd missed previously

If you've not read this quirky, funny, intelligent book give yourself a shake, go read it now. Though if you've not read the series I can recommend reading in order as each book, despite being a standalone story, has spoilers for the earlier ones.

    Go on... go read...now!
