I'm Levi Buchanan, and until five years ago, I thought the legend of my family's curse was a load of crazy, Southern nonsense. No curse can make you fall in love at first sight. No curse can force a true, deep, passionate, all-consuming love that will haunt you all the days of your life. Then I met Jocelyn Abernathy and I realized how completely wrong I was.

The problem is, Jocelyn guards her feelings like well-armed soldier. She's the most beautiful, stubborn, infuriating woman I've ever met. Every time she talks, I want to kiss the living daylights out of her. But I can't. Because when we met, she didn't need true love. She needed a best friend. And that's what I've been to her...for five years.

But when Jocelyn meets a handsome stranger her first day working at Donner Bakery and she lets him buy her a dill pickle cupcake, I realize with ominous regret that I may have missed my window with my best friend. If I can't get her to see past our friendship, my new curse may be to watch the love of my life move on with someone else.

Baking Me Crazy is a full-length contemporary romantic comedy, can be enjoyed as a stand-alone, and is book number one in the Donner Bakery series, Green Valley world, Penny Reid Book universe.

Great story! Definitely was a good appetizer when you’re craving the whole penny Reid pie! Chris as always is the best and Reba was great but compared to the previous men’s voices portrayed by the women readers I was highly not a fan of her voice for Levi. She was still amazing!!!

Appetizer of a book

This is a great fun book that I didn’t think I was going to like after loving Karla’s Washington Wolves books. It turned out to be original, delightful, and fun. Recommend!

So sweet and well done

I enjoyed this story very much. Chris Brinkley is an excellent narrator but I didn’t like Reba Buhr’s offering half as much. Having to adjust to her voice every time they switched wasn’t a joy but I still appreciated the writing.

A Sweet, Fun Story

Lately I have listened to a couple of stories that were reviewed with high marks but the narrative was so blah, I found myself repeating chapters to try to get into the book! I loved his narration of this adorable story off the loyal hottie fighting for his one true love! Funny and sweet! Highly recommend!

Narrator was fantastic!story so cute

Good story but the very best part is Chris Brinkley

I found Jocelyn to be a little over reactive. Just because someone said they’d been in love with you for five years doesn’t suddenly mean the friendship was fake or some power play. Every time there was a wrinkle, it was because Levi was always having to walk on eggshells around Joss’s feelings. Sometimes she seemed super mature for her age and the rest of the time - not so much.

Good story
