Publisher's summary

Everything in Hazel's perfect life is going according to plan. Every moment is accounted for. But she's in for a surprise. When her best friend and roommate takes ill, Jenny begs Hazel to fill in for her on a trip to South Georgia. But life on a horse ranch in her Jimmy Choos isn't exactly what Hazel had in mind for her summer break.

When Dalton Sullivan takes a spill from a bronc at the last rodeo of the season, his life changes forever. Uncertain about his future, his fortunes take another turn when Grandpa Joe bequeaths him a dilapidated horse ranch in his will. Dalton's plans to refurbish the place and turn it into a working ranch again are interrupted when a beautiful woman shows up pretending to be someone she's not.

Even though Dalton knows Hazel's hiding the truth, there's something about her that makes him want to change his solitary ways. But will he be able to convince her to do the same before their time together runs out?

Enjoy this second audiobook in the contemporary romance series of Cowboys and Debutantes! Clean and wholesome sweet stories of West meets East and everything in between!

Contemporary Cowboy!

Vivi Holt wrote a great contemporary romance with this sweet and clean book. I found this story to be original and refreshing. I loved how the characters followed their hearts. The narration by Dawson McBride was fitting. He fits the cowboy image in my mind with his voice. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

Dalton

“I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.”

Dalton is a bronco rider, after an accident that finds his leg fractured in 2 places, Dalton is wondering what to do next when he is handed his grandfather Joe's horse ranch. 1 condition - he must work it for a year and make it succeed or loose it.
Hazel is a third chair in the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra who has just ended the season & is getting ready to go home to visit her overbearing parents when her roommate & best friend Jenn has a medical emergency and asks her to fill in on a job she is suppose to go on. Hazel is no vet but agrees to go.
There is a budding attraction but as Dalton's suspicions are confirmed, he does reveal to Hazel what he has learned. Hazel doesn't confirm or deny her vet status but her inappropriate dress and lack of knowledge confirms it all.
Dalton is running out of time & money to get the ranch up and going and Hazel is offered a dream job of first chair (or is it her dream job)
This is a wonderful story about how life doesn't always go as planned but with friends & family, sometimes the unplanned is the much better prospect.

Sweet Historical Western Romance

This book is part of The Cowboys and Debutantes Series. This is a short and sweet historical Western romance. This heartwarming short story is well written and the scenery well described. I love the story of Dalton and Hazel and I love their HEA. The narrator has a great voice for a Western Romance, easy to listen. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

A sweet, clean, contemporary Western romance

Dalton is a sweet, clean, contemporary Western romance between a cowboy and a big city violinist. The situation is a little silly and the speed at which things progress and characters adapt stretches believability a little, but overall it is a pleasant book to read or listen to.

The narrator is a bit gruff for my taste, and he doesn't do female voices, but he's a good storyteller, and I got use to his voice.

I received a complementary copy of this audiobook. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Cowboy Romance

This was a very sweet cowboy meets concert musician romance! It also had an interesting twist since Hazel is secretly posing as a veterinarian during her visit to his farm... This story had great character development and made you feel like you were right in the story. The narrator had a great voice as well. I could listen to him for hours!

Great Listen!

Dalton rode bucking broncs at a rodeo and got pinned against the wall. He ended up in the hospital with a broken leg. His girlfriend Jody had dropped him because he was gone so much. He had stayed away from women after that. His grandfather died and left him a rundown ranch. Hazel was looking forward to a four week vacation. Her girlfriend was a Vet and got sick and asked Hazel to take her place. She does and when she meets Dalton, things got sticky. Get it and find out what happened!

Dalton

If you’re looking for a sweet, clean romance with a happily ever after, Dalton is a great choice! Vivi Holt has written a lovely story where two people from different worlds, a cowboy and a concert violinist, are brought together in an unexpected way, and things just progress from there.

Dawson McBride did a fantastic job with the narration. His gravelly voice was perfect for Dalton!

Cowboys....

When your best friend needs your help, you do what you can to get things done! Hazel is taking a horse to Dalton's ranch for her best friend who just had surgery. Posing as a vet, Hazel does her best but keeps the truth from Dalton. As their romance blossoms and the sparks fly, things become complicated. Vivi Holt engages us in a romance that is sweet but not uncomplicated! She creates her well developed characters with intricate back stories and has their pasts and passions come forth in her stories. With Hazel, we meet a musician, fiercely loyal friend and someone unhappy with the path her life is taking. Holt gives Hazel the chance to learn and grow. Dalton is successful, but when tragedy hits, he has to find a new path for his life. And even that path isn't without bumps. I loved how Holt encompasses all facets of their lives, we meet interesting characters and enjoy Hazel and Dalton's journey to love.

Dawson McBride is wonderful with this narration. His voice is perfect for the cowboy romance, gravely and warm. He also is one that can voice females without a strain, and makes the performance enjoyable from start to finish.
